ISL - Medium Flatbed Trailer

A trailer for transporting Vehicles and other, larger grids, with a ramp at the rear that can be raised and lowered for vehicle access and landing gear in the floor of the platform to for extra stability in transit.

Important: Sharp turns are not recommended when towing this trailer while loaded. While carrying a vehicle, this trailer becomes top-heavy.

There are hinges at the front and rear that function as tow hitches, allowing connections to either trucks or other trailers. As this is not designed as an autonomous vehicle, each trailer is controlled primarily through the use of labeled buttons, although an RC block is still present. Check the "Movement & Control" section for a list of the buttons and their functions.

This trailer is still considered "printable" although additional assembly is required after printing. Listed below and shown in the screenshots:

1. Add a single hinge head block on to the front hinge.
2. As the ramp relies on two sub grids, a temporary scaffolding (in red) is printed with the trailer. Start by grinding the 2x1 window blocks off the scaffolding.
3. The ramp parts will drop with their hinge heads aligned with their corresponding hinge bases.
4. If the ramp parts are sitting vertically, nudge them so they are leaning against the other side of the scaffold, sitting at an angle. This should minize the risk of Klang.
5. Once the ramp parts are aligned, use the red button under the merge block to attach them.
6. Grind off all temporary blocks, painted red.

The buttons and timer blocks found on this trailer, and their functions, are as follows:

1. Pack Button - Trigger TB Pack
2. Unpack Button - Trigger TB Unpack
3. Attach Button - Attach hinge head to rear mounted hinge base (tow hitch)
4. Detach Button - Detach hinge head to rear mounted hinge base (tow hitch)
5. TB Pack - Front Hinge Unlock, Piston Retract, Handbrake Off, Lights On, Turret Off, PB, Off, Antenna Off
6. TB Unpack - Front Hinge Lock, Piston Extend, Handbrake On, Lights Off, Turret On, PB On, Antenna On
7. Attach Ramp Hinges Button - temporary button used for assembly after printing
8. Lock/Unlock Landing Gear Buttons - For locking in place vehicle (or other grid) on top of the trailer.
9. Lower/Raise Suspension Buttons & TBs - changes wheel height on the trailer to allow better ramp access
10. Ramp Hinges Up/Down Buttons - Raises/Lowers the vehicle access ramp.

All ships, vehicles & trailers in this set have a rear mounted Merge block and can be printed using a welder wall with one (large grid) piston. However in this case the merge block is designed to be ground down after printing, all blocks that require removal are painted bright red.
