How to Borderless-Window-Mode without any extra Software.
Borderless Window-Mode, no extra Software needed. No worries about bans.

Set DS2 in your GFX-Options to "Borderless" and set your native Resolution.

Go to:

Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Game

Edit, with a texteditor like Notepad++ / Wordpad:

userconfig.properties

App.Window.X = -10 App.Window.Y = -33

Set the file "userconfig.properties" to "read only" in Windows properties or the game may change your setting.

Taskbar need not to be hided!

Tested with W10 and @1440p and @1080p. As the window borders are the same, it should work with every resolution.

Have fun!

Man, thank you so much. DS2 worked on my system just fine but trying to make it work good on dual monitor was such a pain in the ass, this immediately fixed.

App.Window.X = -13
App.Window.Y = -47

for 4K (3840x2160) resolution in Windows 11.

GFX always means graphic effects, so GFX options are your in-game graphic effects options.

I don't know if it's because I have a 4k monitor or because I have the taskbar at the side of the monitor or something else, but I had to make the numbers -11 and -40 for it to be perfectly aligned. Either way super thanks for this, I hate the wait when tabbing out of a fullscreen game and there's always a risk it crashes with some games.
