Operation:

How to start:
  1. Head to the pilot seat
  2. Turn on engine ignition
  3. Activate Auto-Clutch
  4. Move the desired RPS lever

How to stop:
  1. Move the desired RPS lever all the way to 2
  2. (Optional/Emergency) Turn off engine ignition to immediately stop the engines

Moving:
It is advisable to bring the crane into default position before moving.
The default position will lock all crane components, make sure the winch is all the way up and the container grabber is snapped in place facing the default direction.

Helm Half Duplex Radio:
Has quick select buttons for channels 0-8, and will transmit on a custom frequency when the frequency selector displays "-". This allows for easy communication with handheld radios and a custom frequency utilizing a huge antenna.

Radio Operator:
The radio operator has access to 3 huge antennas. Frequencies for all 3 can be adjusted.
The microphone can send to antennas A and B, while antenna C serves as a receiver on the fixed frequency set by the small keypad.
You can test the functionality by setting frequencies A to C to any number between 0 and 8 and use the handheld radio on the respective frequencies to check for incoming transmission on the respective antennas.
Note that you need to also push the games voice chat button together with the radio panel transmit buttons for an actual transmission to happen.

Crane:
To get the crane operational, flip the breaker switch to ON and move the pistons towards the electrical connector until they snap in place. You can also try the crane climbing challenge: Raise the crane arm all the way up, then push the start button at the bottom of the crane and try to climb as fast as you can to the top of the crane, where the finish button is located. The finish button will stop the timer and you will be able to see your time at the bottom of the crane.

Water Turrets:
Can be operated by using the respective control seat, all controls are labeled, The laser target mode is working but still WIP.

Ballast Tanks:
You can drain/fill all 4 ballast tanks individually, for a quick balancing during crane operation it is advisable to activate the auto-ballast button, this way ballast tanks will act as a counterweight for the crane without any further user input.
Make sure to disable the system and empty all tanks (if ship is without cargo) before moving.

Boarding:
The Wavemaster 1600 comes with a boarding ramp for vehicle loading, which also allows containers to be delivered by other means than using the crane.

Winches:
There are 4 winches which can all be controlled from the rear part of the deck

Generator:
Each engine comes with an automatic Generator, that will keep batteries at full charge.
Setting the main "Desired RPS" lever to 2 will set the engine to idle mode, generators will take over engine RPS depending on battery load, which also allows to charge other vehicles by using the cable connectors on deck.
Generators can be manually engaged by activating the generator overload button at the instrument panel in the roof.

Heater:
An automatic heater is installed in the cabin, the temperature can be adjusted.

Radio:
Half Duplex Radio Channels 0-8 and adjustable frequency (Range: 40 km)
Dual receiver radio with adjustable frequencies for the radio operator

The engine doesn't exceed 0.85 air throttle, even with the throttle lever set to max, since it's maxing out the fluid jets at that point. For modular engines the load and throttle are the biggest factor in heat generation. Bigger engines and/or more cylinders can help keep the throttle low while still reaching your desired speed by generating less heat.
Glad you enjoyed it, heh.

This is pretty fun. I messed with it after reading your cooling article. I still don't understand how you managed to cool these engines. I've run similar setups and temps just skyrocket.

Sure, go ahead.

The waterjets had a performance increase in one of the last updates before 1.0, so if you haven't played with them until now you missed out on this change. They require a lot of torque, which makes using a beefy engine mandatory. Note that this boat is 16m long and using 2 3x3 modular engines with 8 cylinders each, which I'm sure is enough to reach comical speeds even without using supercharging.
As for the supercharging you can use the AFR controller by The Adester, works fine so far.

You simply add a large electrical pump to the air inlet and set up the MC.
There can be issues when placing engines in mirror mode making the pumps not fully utilize the flowrate, bugs with air port placement and apparently also a bug regarding the order of placement so be prepared for fun times ahead...

Hi - nice build - Any chance you can expain a bit more about the diesel, supercharge set up and how you get the waterjet perfomrnace that good? I have been struggling to get waterjets with this kind of performance of a diesel - had to use exploitJETs.
