ACS Assertive Bunkers

Description
ACS Assertive Bunkers adds additional bases to further expand the life and challenge in your world.

This mod currently include underground bases for planets, and will progressively increase in challenge as your threat increases inline with other ACS bases.

So, how does it work?
- Just like regular ACS bases the bunkers will attempt to spawn as you move around, the further you travel, the more will spawn. The flatter the ground, the more will spawn.
- if you leave the ASSERT faction alone, it'll leave you be. If you start attacking, that will change...
- in order to defend themselves more effectively, bunkers will call in drones for help

What make ACS Assertive Bunkers special?
Curated and custom builds
- The builds in Assertive Bunkers are all underground providing a new and different exploration experience.
- Many of the builds are kit-bashed versions of the ACS bases combined with custom built sections to keep the look and feel inline with ACS.

Vanilla feel
- The same as in ACS all of the builds try to keep a consistent feeling with the existing vanilla aesthetic in Space Engineers, while also having some fun with it.

Fully voiced NPCs
- Assertive Bunkers uses all the same fully voiced NPC radio calls from ACS thanks to Splitsie and his patrons on patreon

Drones, lots of drones
- Most of the bunkers have deliberate or accidental weakpoints but you will still have to deal with the drones first.
- The larger threat you are the more deadly the drones will be.

Controllable threat
- ACS will leave you alone to build your base, ship whatever, but it'll be there for a fight when you want one
- beware once you start fighting them, they may not be so generous (at least for now, Splitsie may have plans to change this in the future)

Things to use to customise your experience:
- MES configs. These are located in your save folder and allow manipulation of all sorts of things from spawn rate to blacklisting specific spawns.

Mods you can add to spice things up:
- Crew Enabled by Patrick (utilising AiEnabled by jTurp), this will give you robot NPCs in the bunkers adding some interesting combat once you're past the outer turrets.

Common questions, issues and troubleshooting:
Your drone/base whatever is smashing all my stuff!
- Check the name of the grid in the entity list (Alt+f10) to ensure it's one of mine. It will have (NPC-AB) in the name.
- Let me know the name of the grid and I can look into whether I did something odd in the config files.
- If the grid has (NPC-ACS) or (NPC-AI) in the name you may need to contact Splitsie on the ACS mod page.

I'm not seeing anything spawn!
- Being on a planet with atmosphere is required for bunkers to spawn.
- While in game type /MES.GESAP and then paste the result into a text editor and check to see if there are any grids with (NPC-AB) in the name. If present then the spawns are eligible but have either not been triggered (not moving far enough between position checks) or the terrain is blocking safe spawning.
- Checking for eligible spawns in an new would where you have nothing built will result in no ACS Bunkers being eligible to spawn. This is because you need to have built a base or ship to reach the minimum threat level to be eligible.Your threat score can be checked while in game by typing /MES.GTS into the chat window. The minimum required threat score for ACS Bunkers is 150.
-If you are over the minimum threat score and there are still no eligible (NPC-AB) items listed then please confirm that the mod is active in the world and that you do not have any other mods that might be conflicting.

Do Bunkers remove voxels / My bunker is still full of dirt
- Yes shortly after spawning into your world MES will cut out the voxel inside the bunker. Over time as more bunkers spawn this may increase the save game file size and cause problems for lower end systems. This is why the ACS Bunkers mod exists as an additional add-on instead of being part of ACS itself.
- If you find that bunkers is still full or dirt please check the name of the grid in the entity list (Alt+f10) to ensure it's one of mine. It will have (NPC-AB) in the name. If it is mine please let me know the name of the grid and I can look into whether I did something odd in the config files.

DLC Required or Not
- The bunkers will contain DLC blocks but you don't need to have the DLC's for this mode to work. The bunkers will spawn regardless and any DLC blocks will behave the same as they do on any server where some people will have the DLC's and others don't.

Im not sure if this a Bug or something I did wrong, This just happened,
My Friend was out to mine some stuff with his Rover and suddenly got blown up out of nowhere. After that our Base was also Attacked, We know we got too close to an Assert Base but my Friend didn't get close to any. After Repairing I checked the Entity List and found one of the Assert Bunkers "(NPC-AB) Observer #1" with no Antenna Signal. I then tested if it made any Radio Calls and it did not.

Using this on a Dedicated Server and ASSERT is always Hostile from the get go, they initiate attacks on players without prompt, but the workshop page says they should leave you alone until you engage?

and another question.
Drones should spawn if I destroy the antenna?
When I destroy the antenna, the bunker is not a covenant for the help of drones, but they still appear

Good afternoon. Tell me please. in MES files, this file "Config-ConfigDroneEncounters" controls the appearance and frequency of defense drones?
I changed the settings in this file, but drones still appear very often.
I would like to reduce the spawn frequency of these drones. And then they appear 1 minute after their destruction and I do not have time to do anything.
For me at the beginning of the game, these are quite difficult opponents, since I play without ore, magnesium and cut in the form of scrap. Only trading and capturing bases and ships.

Does this excavate voxels? all the spawns i've found are just spawning in the ground and i have to dig, which ends up destroying a lot of it trying to just explore it

Is this actually working for anyone currently?

I couldnt see them on my server so I created a new world for testing with just this mod and Assertive Combat Systems (+requirements), spawned and ran the /MES.GESAP command and there are no grids with NPC-AB in the name. Is something needed to trigger it or what? Which order should they be loaded in? Thanks.
