Ganymede Technologies – MagLev Airlock Connector

Ganymede Technologies introduces The MagLev Airlock Connector!. This Connector not only provide a means to transport precious cargo but ALSO serve as a Airlock for passengers!

Large Grid Blocks
1x Ganymede MagLev Connector
1x Ganymede Corridor Mid Section
1x Ganymede Forcefield Airlock Door

*Additional smaller large grid version and small grid version will be added in a future update.

Note:
Force Field on entrance block is toggled on and off like a door.
Force Field on Connector Block is always on which creates a seal around anybody that goes through it, thus keeping the block pressurized.





*These blocks have been balanced based on cost to build, size, and power output.

Doesn't seem to work. I see people saying it locks about a block apart. Maybe I'm just bad. I can't get it to lock at all. Shame because I really like the concept of this mod.

I don´t know why but I can´t connect base and ship... it stays blue all the time.

the connectors lock about a block apart, so I can't walk between the two without using the jetpack

i get some warnings.
Thread: 1 -> Warning: Invalid triangle in \...\Models\ConnectorPort\MaglevConnectorDoorBase.mwm and the same warnings from the other Parts

I am having the same issue. The Connectors seem to not have a wide enough range of connection. It takes me a few minutes of adjusting the ship to even have the two detect each other, and when they do, they lock at about 1 block distance from one another, making them useless as an airlock.

for some reason when i try to connect these there is a block size gap i cant seem to get rid of

The connector uses electromagnetic attraction to create traction and locking, not magnetic levitation which using magnetic repulsion. This is how docking ports are expected to work in the near future with the AAReST docking system.
The main application of Magnetic Levitation or suspension is the use of magnetic force to counteract the effect of gravitation acceleration providing an upward force and overcoming frictional forces. Hence why the name MagLev has been used by certain train types that use the principles of magnetic levitation to hover and move forward via the use of a maglev actuator. This has been around since the early 1900s.
Maglev has also been proposed for launch vehicle systems for getting into space and many other applications such as a replacement for bearings in fan systems.
I think what your picking up on as "levitation" is where connector merging locks and doesn't appear to meet which is down to the game not an actual levitation effect.

я не сказал что мне не нравится ваш мод. очень даже нравиться . я могу снять видео для вас .когда я пытаюсь соединить ваш коннектор а он мне отвечает Disconnect . он не видит и поэтому нет ответа . а ваше видео я 5 раз пересмотрел у вас все классно получается . я начинал игру даже с нуля только одним вашим модом и результат тот же . благодарю вас что вы отвечаете своим подписчикам и работаете с ними .
