Strix Aerospace Interceptor
Initially conceived as an experiment on the viability of an inter-operable air/space craft, the Coalition forces found its performance to be very desirable, having an aircraft being able to be stationed in space, and respond to threats on the ground. Strix uses a variety of RCS thrusters where the control surfaces would no longer be able to provide maneuverability in space, and return to standard control surfaces once in atmosphere. Strix has 2 internal hardpoints for missiles or bombs, 2 external hardpoints near the intakes, and an internal 30mm Autocannon. While its main role is for interception, it can also attend to strike missions, using Anti-ship missiles against hard targets.

Notes

  1. TURN ON SCRIPTS
  2. RCS is useable in all environments, for intended experience, only use RCS Thrusters in space.
  3. Refueling port is on top of the fuselage, a bit behind the cockpit
  4. If the craft is pitching up or down with neutral input, use Toolbar 4 to adjust trim.
  5. To use eject, Toolbar 3, press 2 first, then 1 to eject (to prevent misfires)
  6. In case of eject automation failure, press 5-8 on Toolbar 3
  7. to lock on to a target, press 3 on toolbar 2, and 1 or 2 to fire a missile
  8. to help with locking on, use the yellow indicator in the HUD as a reference
  9. When taxiing, turn off thrusters, and use WSAD to get into position
  10. When landing, Gun must be retracted otherwise landing gear wouldn't deploy
