BACKGROUND
Launched in June 2019, the R.S.V. Almeria is the flagship of OMUA (Oceanic Marine Underwater Agency), a (fictional) multinational marine and research agency. Designed to carry out an array of worldwide marine research projects in all types of climates and weather, the R.S.V. Almeria is luxuriously equipped to explore (With dive capabilities on the on-board Lil' Scut II submersible and remote controlled shark cage, and is capable of rescue and delivery operations. The helipad accommodates small and medium-sized helicopters, and the cargo deck is outfitted for an AB Marine 16-AB RHIB. The cargo deck features ISO standard container slots, and can fit up to 5 containers at a time. The R.S.V. Almeria is built with private luxury living quarters, an operation controls deck, a conference room, laboratories, garage bay, infirmary, and a decompression chamber. As with all OMUA vessels, all systems are designed to be operated by a 1-man crew, in case of emergencies. A standard operations crew of 8 and up to 20 other staff.

TIPS
  • The ship is designed to be able to be disembarked with a helicopter or skiff while it is on Autopilot. The AP system has a timer to allow disembarkation, as well as a toggle-able "Boat Launch Sensor" and "Helipad Landing Sensor" that allow for your return onto the ship assuming it has not reached its destination and stopped. These toggle-able buttons enable a laser, that if crossed with your helicopter or boat, will stop the ship, allowing you to board.
  • For maximum speed, use the electric motors. However, at full electric power, the batteries will be depleted faster than they can be charged, so the maximum speed is not sustainable for long periods of time.
  • The shark tank and unmanned underwater exploration gear can be lowered into the water using rope anchor on the large winches on the gantry crane, and then connected via electric cable anchor to the huge winch

Absolutely love your creations! Would it be possible to make a deep sea vehicle recovery ship?

Wish this was given some attention, probably my favourite from your collection. The two smaller cranes seem to not function well.

I was trying to make a nice house boat and this is almost perfect to what i needed and i barely have to edit anything. Had to add a bathroom to the captians quarters tho lol

I love the way this ship looks and feels

Personally your best looking ship. Plans to make a more modern one? I feel this really just had the cleanest look even if it was sacrificing some compact practicality your other ships have.
