-DESCRIPTION- (Its more of a backstory)

The Leocyte's design was originally from the beginning of the Coalition when they were able to build ships with more features and excellent systems. Though the ship was never built during that time due to money and time constraints the Coalition eventually decided to retrofit the design for the current standards of sea worthy vessels.
Thus the Leocyte MKIII was made, given a crew and was set out to expand the human coverage of Europa maintaining contact with Coalition leaders! Though the ship was considered a great investment at the time, it lost contact on a routine patrol and deemed M.I.A by the surrounding city's.
The ship was considered destroyed years later when parts of the ship's comms equipment were found in a cave near its original route. Though many thought the ship was gone without any way to tell why it went missing in the first place, the ship popped up on radar a few months after finding the parts in cave. The whole ship had returned to a station over four thousand meters away without a crew and minimal power remaining.

The Coalition quickly ordered an investigation on the ship itself and to find out what happened to the crew. No evidence of tampering on the systems of the vessel was found, ruling out sabotage of the ship.
Also no body's were found onboard. This vessel did not come with an escape pod or smaller vessel of any kind.
The only noticeable damage was the tail fin being completely removed, but from what?
And how the ship ever made it four thousand meters presumably without a crew to run it, will probably never be known!
The Leocyte MKIII was ordered to be repaired and refurbished, given a new crew and to set sail out on its own yet again!

No problem! I couldn't figure it out myself either. We were playing unmodded and before they added Jovian Radiation

In-between real life commitments and designing my next submarine the Altmark I have been able to test the Leocyte in a variety of ways in regards to the reactor possibly giving radiation sickness to the crew, and although I was pretty thorough in my testing I was unable to procure the reason why you were having radiation problems in regards to the Leocyte's design, I am sorry! Even though I was unsuccessful I do believe it could be possible that it was Jovian Radiation that was affecting you!

In my testing I had no exposure to radiation from the reactor, but I will definitely look into the possibility of the reactor being the cause.
Thanks for your input, i really appreciate it!

Can you give me any insight on why my crew keeps getting radiation sickness? I think it might have something to do with the Battery toggle in the captain's cabin. We have the reactor set to automatic control and with only a single fuel rod.

Ah, that must be what it was. I was halfway through a mission and all was going well, when I decided to familiarize myself with the buttons in the cabin. When I pushed the depth charge button, nothing seemed to happen, so I pressed it again, which released another depth charge, instantly exploding the first. My ship flooded and I died in seconds. :(
