We Were Here: RL Edition | A Co-op Puzzle Game

Description
Welcome to We Were Here in Rocket League! We Were Here is a cooperative puzzle game in which the two players have to work together in order to get to the end! And that's exactly what this is, just the puzzles are harder and incorporate Rocket League mechanics!

Thank you to all the beta-testers

Thank you to all the beta testers who helped me with this map! Without you, this wouldn't have been possible. Thank you to...
- Crysys_Beatbox
- SparrowHawk
- Naoki
- AshyLarry
- Jaevion
- Atomizer
- Whiffing Pro
- Mr. Swaggles
- Balanced Waffle

Gameplay

When you load into the game, you should be looking at a black screen. This is normal, and is done in order to give the map time to load. At the beginning of the game, you decide which role you would like to play, the librarian or the explorer. The Explorer is blue and the Librarian is Orange. Both Players must work together in order to solve all of the puzzles and reach the end!

Needed before starting

There are a few things you need in order to run this map. You need both the Workshop Textures [drive.google.com] and Netcode Plugin [bakkesplugins.com]. Without these, this map will not run.

Mutators

Turn off Bloom in Video Settings (Shadows are fine, but might make your car darker than usual). Most of the textures in this map were custom made, and with bloom on, it makes them hard to see.

Match Length: Unlimited
Boost: Unlimited
Demolish: Disabled

READ BEFORE PLAYING

There are a few things I need to mention before you get into the map so you're not confused.
- The map must be launched with Rocket Plugin, this is the only way NetCode works
- The doors don't have collision to prevent massive frame rate issues and sometimes you could go through them, so they will instead teleport you away from them.
- You can play this map multiple times. Every single sequence is randomized and has variations. A duplicate variation is purely coincidental.
- WARNING: You will not be able to save replays. Teleporting a player crashes the replays and this action is crucial to the workings of this map

ONLY HOVER OVER THE BLACK BAR IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME

The following is a spoiler: In the ending cutscene, one of the lines is, "Was this sacrifice necessary?" The answer to that question is no . There is a way to get both players through the gate at the end.

I'm not familiar with that issue, but according to the interwebs, it has something to do with the party feature. You can do it through RLLobby, or if you trust your friend, direct IP and port forwarding

Hello,
I recently tried to host a game through the bakkesmod and run this escape room with a friend [this was attempted on the day of this comment being submitted]. I tried launching a game through the Rocket Plugin while he was in my party as that said it would auto-invite him, but then it fed him back an error that steam servers failed to authenticate. Both of us have the steam version of Rocket League. I'm hoping I can get some help, unfortunately none of the fixes I researched and tried worked.

There's an issue with netcode right now. So until it gets updated, any map that uses it will crash the game

What to do if the second player crash everytime ? The host does not have this problem :missing:

Seems like the numbered balls broke for us, we were missing a ball with a 9 on it.

We tried it and got stuck on the second room (with the coloured goals) as we just couldn't get a ball in the room, for us to score a goal. Is it broken or have we missed something? Felt like we tried everything

Make Sure to download Netcode. A lot of people have this issue. Read "NEEDED BEFORE STARTING"
