[VJ Base] World War Two SNPCs Homefront Pack

Designed to be a simplistic 'lightweight' mod, every component in this addon, from programming to materials, was carefully optimised and tested to run as smoothly as possible on the rather dated Garry Mod's game engine.

This addon pack also includes an extremely diverse range of over 270+ unique voice lines, all in English, different troops have their own distinctive personalities.

You do not need any games installed and mounted, but you need to also subscribe to the listed required items for this addon pack to work properly.

This addon pack is a complementary addon to my [VJ Base] World War Two SNPCs European Front Armies, though this could be used as a standalone if you do not wish to subscribe to the main addon.

Perfect for organising WW2 NPC battles or to have companion buddies in massacring bots in the HL:2 campaigns, this addon pack contains World War Two German, French, Croatian, Yugoslav, and Soviet units with different roles (classes).

Includes support for Player's Squad.

The SNPCs are located under the 'theoneman's World War 2 SNPCs - Homefront Pack' category in the NPC tab.

Subscribe to this addon.

Open up the Spawn Menu, navigate to the Options tab, go to the NPC subcategory, click on Anti-Friendly Fire for the popup box.

Then check / tick both 'Enable NPC -> NPC' and 'No damage to NPC with neutral relationship' options located in the Main Settings and Relationships tabs respectively.


French Résistance Partisans

"The French Resistance (French: La Résistance) was the collection of French movements that fought against the Nazi German occupation of France during the Second World War. The French Resistance played a significant role in facilitating the Allies' rapid advance through France following the invasion of Normandy in 1944, by providing military intelligence on Wehrmacht deployments and orders of battle. The Resistance also planned and coordinated acts of sabotage on logistics facilities and telecommunications networks used by the German Army."

German Volkssturm Militia Troops

"The Volkssturm was a national militia established by Nazi Germany during the last months of the Second World War. The formations were raised by conscripting males between the ages of 16 and 60 years, of those who were not already serving in some military unit. The Volkssturm comprised one of the final components of the total war promulgated by Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, part of the Nazi endeavour to overcome their enemies' military strength through force of will. Volkssturm units fought unsuccessful futile battles against Soviet and Allied forces near the end of the war."

Yugoslav National Liberation Army Partisans

"The Yugoslav Partisans, or the National Liberation Army, was the Communist-led resistance to the Axis powers in occupied Yugoslavia during the Second World War. It is considered to be Europe's most effective resistance movement during the Second World War, often compared to the Polish resistance movement. Led by Marshal Josip Broz Tito, the Partisans operated as a regular army that remained highly mobile across occupied Yugoslavia and engaged in guerrilla campaigns which enjoyed gradually increased levels of successes."

Croatian Ustaše Black Legion Militia Infantry Troops

"The Black Legion (Croatian: Crna Legija), officially the 1st Standing Active Brigade, was an Ustaše militia infantry unit active during the Second World War in Independent State of Croatia. It consisted largely of Bosnian and Croatian refugees from eastern Bosnia, where massacres were carried out by Chetniks and to a small degree by the Yugoslav Partisans. The militia became infamous for its fierce fighting against the Chetniks and the Partisans and massacres against Serb civilians."

Soviet Siberian Divisions Infantry Troops

"A large number of experienced and well equipped Siberian divisions were initially deployed to protect the USSR’s eastern borders against a possible attack by Japan on 22nd June 1941. After Joseph Stalin had learnt from his spy network in Japan headed by Richard Sorge that the Japanese had no intention of attacking the USSR, the divisions were then transferred west from October to November, just in time to be able to exert a decisive influence during Operation Typhoon, stopping the advances of the Wehrmacht at the very gates of Moscow itself."
