Interchanges with lane mathematics

Description
This is a Dumbbell Interchange. It's a 'service interchange', connecting a highway to a regular road network. It has a better traffic flow than a Diamond Interchange because there are roundabouts instead of intersections with traffic lights. This design also gives your traffic the ability to make a U-turn. In return it takes up more space then some other service interchange designs.

- Cost: 18860,-
- Maintenance: 261,-
- Lane mathematics are applied for a good traffic flow.
- The ability to make a U-turn helps your traffic out more than you think!

Enjoy!

I've created updated versions of existing interchange types by applying 'lane mathematics'. With the use of several mods I've also managed to reduce the amount of nodes to a minimum and create smooth transitions between different road segments to create a smooth traffic flow. Want to know how 'Lane mathematics' work and how to use the functions of TM:PE? I recommend watching some of Biffa's traffic fixing video's at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR5G_Kc9r-JDza2Bzd2GIA01_jVyHhhXw.

Any comments, suggestions and/or feedback is much appreciated! And if you like this asset so much that you think others should use it as well, then please rate it!

Hi Wilky. Thanks for the compliments!! I've taken an interest in creating interchanges for a couple of weeks now. As I created more interchanges I got better at it. Since this is one of my first creations I agree with you that there could be some improvements. A smaller design is definately an option. I'll take a look into that!

As for getting sunken highways/roads in the editor: I use the mod called: 'Fine Road Tool 2.0.4 by Klyte 45'. This mod gives you 5 modes of building roads. These modes are: normal, ground, elevated, bridge, tunnel. To get a sunken road, you have to select the option 'ground'. This forces the ground to follow the road. So when you build an elevated or sunken road when this mode is selected, the ground follows. So to get a sunken road, simply select the road you want to build, make sure you have the 'ground mode' on. Then by pressing the page-down key you can select the desired depth. And then simply build the road.

Hi Max, First off big fan of your interchanges, great work on the designs & thank you for your contributions to the Workshop. However, I wanted to point out that I think you have potential to improve this one. Your dumbbell seems to take up a lot of space. What do you think? Maybe something like this, if you were to play with it:

(ps, how do you get the "sunken" roads in the Asset Editor? I can't figure out how to use landscaping tools)
