Description


The Moe Order: Last Episodes of Anime - or TMO for short - is a full anime conversion of The New Order: Last Days of Europe that aims to recreate its entire world in a new light. We hope to be as accurate to the source material as possible within the medium while also keeping a more light-hearted and fun flair, we hope that you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

The mod is currently up to date with HOI4 V1.15.*, 2WRW "The Last Step" and TNO "Operation Deep Freeze".

The mod will work with both TNO and the 2WRW fork and we'll maintain compatibility with both versions. Please use whichever you enjoy playing the most.



☑ Thousands of portraits covering every HoS and just about every general you're likely to see in a normal playthrough of the mod.
☑ 75+ super events, 60 of which have unique music and SFX on par with the base mod's.
☑ 1000+ event pictures.
☑ 200+ focus icons.
☑ Thousands of GUI, decision and minister graphics.
☑ 30+ female voice sets, each corresponding to the native language of a myriad of tags.



In the near future, apart from staying up to date with TNO's content we hope to add:
☑ More event pics.
☑ More audio for super events.
☑ Touch up South America and Africa a bit.

HOI4 V1.15 update + 2WRW standalone update and partial Operation Deep Freeze patch after taking a bit of a hiatus from moddning, should be back on track again now, thanks to everyone that stuck with us during the intermission.

Q: What about multiplayer and save game compatibility?
A: TMO is a graphics only mod that will never break a save game nor will it cause sync issues in multiplayer.

Q: Will this mod still run if TNO or HOI4 updates?
A: Since TMO doesn't alter any gameplay, events or history files, it'll always run if you don't mind seeing a few vanilla portraits. HOI4 updates also won't cause issues, but will likely make TNO itself unplayable for a brief period of time.

Q: What should I do if I find a glitch, portrait error or some other issue?
A: Please comment below, join our Discord or post on our discussion board. Please provide as detailed of a description of your issue as possible and include tag names, event IDs, character names or any other such information that may be relevant.

Q: Can I get the source for [art x]?
A: Please join our Discord server if you want sources on images. Requests made on Steam will be ignored, the comments section is for feedback and issue reports only.

Q: Is there a list with sources for all portraits in the mod?
A: No because maintaining a gallery of several thousands of artworks would be crazy.

Q: Can I use your assets for my own mod?
A: Please contact me beforehand. I'm generally cool with people borrowing UI (espionage, research, etc) and such as long as credit is given and we talked about it. Sound files are iffier since a lot of it is commissioned and I'd rather not have portraits lifted en masse. Permission is also not always mine to give as I've received permissions from various third parties that I can't speak for. In any case, please contact me first, thank you!

Q: Will you change the male names in the mod to be female?
A: No, because that would require changing every history, event and localization file in the mod which would introduce thousands of potential crash issues and would also be nearly impossible to maintain given how often TNO updates those files on their end. The in-universe excuse is that this is like Fate/Stay Night and that dudes are magical anime girls because magic/reasons and no one should bat an eye about it.

Q: What's the intro song?
A: It's a Japanese version of Erika.

Q: What about the old mod with the same name?
With the author's permission and assistance, we took over the project and name.

Update dropping either this weekend or next and will be compatible with what I assume will be V1.17 of HOI4 when the DLC and patch drops this week. Sorry again for taking a bit of a hiatus, the poor health of TNO itself has been quite a concern for a lot of us submodders, thank you all for understanding. :KneelingBow:

@Kertz: There isn't a single line of code in the mod affecting gameplay, let alone anything that could break the country select screen. Just to be sure I tested it on my dev build and was able to launch into the game just fine with the latest version of TNO:R, I was able to load up South Africa (and got reminded that I gotta sort out the missing portraits already). Please contact me on Discord by following the link in the mod's description and I'll try and help troubleshoot the matter with you if it's needed.

xxarykittyxx: That's the plan. Luckily I found an old backup of my old works from 2021 so I'm going to try to go for dual compatibility with TNO:R and TNO:RA whenever I update. It just feels like such a bummer since it's a big timesink to bring the mod up to date with two iterations of TNO just because the main mod decided to become something different, but basically everyone in the community seems to have moved on to those at this point so I feel obligated to make sure they get their fun too. I just have a hard time justifying devoting a whole weekend to the endeavor, so I apologize for things being a bit slower than I would've hoped for.

Update progress: I have ~800 folders to sift through due to TNO splitting apart in order to make sure overything actually works when I update. Hopefully, it will! But it's a slog. Please be mindful, and thank you for your patience. :KneelingBow:

@IloveIyowa: I'll add it to the dependencies the next time I update the mod. Unless they changed every file name under the sun, that should at least make the important stuff work.

@Pastille: Sorry sorry I actually meant TNO:R and didn't realize there was another fork that'd released just now. It's a bit confusing when you have two fan forks releasing around the same time that have similar abbreviations. Sorry for the confusion, it's the 2WRW fork that has the old map that I was referring to. I have nothing against that mod and I'm sure it's perfectly fine but I won't develop for it at least not for the foreseeable future, I'm kinda done with TNO after all these years of dev hell and just working with TNO:R is the easiest way to make the content playable to the most people without having to deal with TNO's endless reworks and content mass removal. I'd rather spend my time tinkering with TFR or other projects instead, I think that'd make for a fun new design challenge.
