Yes you can! Follow the instructions in the Installation section until point 8. Then download the Force Through missions from the Example missions section. Open one with the editor, copy everything, open your new mission and paste. Then fix the placement a bit. Replace the Description.ext file with one from a Force Through scenario and it should done.
To change the factions you have to change the faction variables in the Spawn AI and Spawn AI: Spawnpoint modules. However not all modded factions are compatible with the Spawn AI modules and you would need to do some scripting to make them compatible. If you open the Cam Lao Nam scenario you'll see a SpawnAI_module_groups_init_adapter_for_Vietnam_factions trigger with a modified spawner group's initialization code that you can use as reference.
