No Fines for Excessive Speed

The game just doesn't pay attention to how fast you drive.

For pure simulation purposes speed limits are absolutely right. But when you start developing your own enterprise and travel thousands of kilometers over and over again then those limits holds you back every step of the way consuming a huge amount of time. For me it seems like sheer masochizm. I made this mod because I'm not going to spend my entire life in ETS 2, yet I want to taste the game's essence within a reasonable time frame.

After installing this modification the game just won't detect any overspeed that you can do and therefore it won't burden you financially for that. That's all. I suggest to turn off any speed-realted voice or sound alerts you may get (in audio options) and you will have complete peace of mind.

As for fines for other offenses they will remain intact. These are penalties for: car crashes, avoiding sleeping, driving against the flow, not using lights, passing red lights, avoiding weighing, using illegal trailer, avoiding inspection, illegal border crossing, hard shoulder violations, damaged vehicle usage. I considerd increasing fines for those offenses for the sake of balancing purposes but finally I came to the conclusion that high speeds are so risky in thmeselves that you can lose a lot of money very quickly.

As for the priority on the list of active mods in the game this mod changes only one file so the higher position the better. If it doesn't work it means it is too low on mod list.

This mod is not compatible with any fines-related mods and any mods changing probabilities of and delays in detecting offenses. Technically speaking any other mod changing contents of police_data.sii file will be incombatible.

The mod is intended for ETS 2 version 1.39xx but it may work with earlier versions too.
