Paper Mario & Olivia

Description
Mario and Olivia have joined together with their pals to fight in the Rivals of Aether!

Mario and Olivia are here to pack a punch together!
Open a Treasure Chest with Neutral Special and utilize randomly selected Panels!
  • Arrows - They move you towards a direction. Anyone other than Paper Mario will be unable to use an attack during this movement!
  • Extra Jump - They give you an extra jump. You can only have 2 extra jumps in total!
  • x2 Double Power - Gives you an extra wallop to your damage output for one attack. If you get hit, you'll lose it!
  • ON Switch - You can use Magic Circle Panels in the next set of random panels, but only if you touch it!

Using these panels, Olivia can either transform or give Mario the 1000-Fold Arms!
  • Earth Vellumental - A large area of effect! And she even summons an earth pillar for Mario to stand on! The earth pillar can track Mario anywhere horizontally, but it's height will always stay the same. The earth pillar also takes three hits to break! And every hit will cause it to go lower.

To use this move, you will need to use [Down Special] near the appropriate Magic Circle!
  • Water Vellumental - A very tall area of denial! Olivia creates a large waterspout, a tornado of water, and summons two smaller ones on each side. They don't deal too much damage but it creates a lot of chaos!

To use this move, you will need to use [Up Strong] near the appropriate Magic Circle!
  • Fire Vellumental - A simple attack, and a trap setter! Olivia breathes fire before shooting out blazing feathers from here wings! Those feathers stay on stage and can hit and burn opponents if they touch it!

To use this move, you will need to use [Forward Strong] near the appropriate Magic Circle!
  • Ice Vellumental - Slow, and steady, but able to immobilize opponents! Olivia swipes with her claws before freezing the floor. The snow that's left on the floor can freeze opponents! Use this to your advantage!

To use this move, you will need to use [Down Strong] near the appropriate Magic Circle!
  • Thousand Fold Arms - Olivia grants you her power and lets you stretch your arms! While not as amazing as it would seem, you gain armor while you're aiming your hands. If you reach anyone you can grab, you can toss them far away! If you don't, you will simply slam into the ground four times!

To use this move, you will need to use [Forward Special] near the appropriate Magic Circle!

Now let's see the rest of Mario's attacks and friends that can flip the course of battle!

+ Jab: Mario & Olivia Pummel
A basic 3 hit jab. The first hit knocks opponents upwards, and can be used as a combo starter!

+Dash Attack: Paper Jump-Tackle
A forward momentum dash attack. You can use [Forward Special] while doing this attack!

+ Up Tilt: Groundskeeper Sweep
A basic up tilt. Kamek sweeps a broom, and its got quite a lot of height and disjoint, but it can miss at point blank for those shorter than the broom.

+ Forward Tilt: Exploration Hammer
A basic forward tilt. Mario swings quickly with his hammer.

+ Down Tilt: Bomb Bump
Bobby the Bob-omb tackles forward, a projetile attack! Its a bit slow, but its great for catching opponents.

+ Up Air: Roll-Up Uppercut
A basic up air. The punch is a killer sweetspot!

+Neutral Air: Battle Hammer
Mario swings his hammer in mid-air rotating in the process. If he lands on the ground and the [Attack] button is held, he will do a landing attack, slamming the hammer into the ground! Hitting your opponent directly will earn you coins.

+ Forward Air: My Heart's-a-Burnin!
Mario cheers on as Olivia sings and creates offensive sound waves in front of her! It's a multi-hit, but if you're not close enough, the opponent won't even flinch!

+ Back Air: Back-Swing Hammer
Mario swings right behind him, not that good ranged, but its a pretty good move to knockback opponents with a high amount of percent!

+ Down Air: Shiny Boots
Mario does his classic stomp! He even bounces back upwards! This move earns you coins if an opponent is hit.

+ Forward Strong: Folded Bowser Breath
A basic projectile forward strong. Folded Bowser offers his strength and breathes on those in front of Mario! Its got a long lifetime, and its got strong knockback, but the startup is slow...

+Up Strong: Shiny Hurlhammer
Another projectile strong, and its even more unique than the previous! While charging, Paper Mario spins, hitting anyone in the way! Releasing the button will make him toss the hammer, and it will fly up and crash down, bouncing once before going through the floor. Its a fun attack, but make sure you use it wisely! You're left wide open!

+ Down Strong: Ice Hammer Crush
A basic down strong, and short ranged at that. However, if you hit the first hit at point blank, the opponent will be flinched frozen, and pressing [Strong] again will make you spin, dealing a heavy amount of hits, damage, and knockback! You can only flinch grounded opponents though...

+ N-Special: Treasure Chest
Mario's central mechanic! Mario tosses out four panels at random, one of them will either be an ON Switch, or a Magic Circle for you to use!
You can always see what you get next, so plan ahead! Once the Panels are out, a Timer will count down until they disappear!

Curious as to what earning coins gives you? Well use N-Special while the panels are out and the Timer will be replenished by a second for every 10 coins you have.

+ Forward Special: Peel Pull
Mario prepares to grab forward... if he fails, he'll fall down.
If successful... he stays in place and pulls onto the grabbed Opponent and... Toss! Away they go.

You can use this to relocate panels! Grab a panel, and even aim where it goes! Even Opponents can be aimed!

+ Down-Special: Dig This!
Professor Toad!? He's here to dig us up a 10 Coin! You can collect it if you reach it before the Opponent does, but then again, the 10 Coin is also a projectile!

This move is also useable in mid-air, and works like a strange down-air, but if you land as Professor Toad digs down, he'll land and dig up a 10 Coin like usual.

+ Up Special: Bowser Jr. Tantrum / Bowser Jr. Clown Car Toss
The prince is here to save the day! Bowser Jr. and his trusty clown car comes to your aid and tosses you upwards when you need to recover! Or simply when you're in mid-air.

On the ground, he doesn't need to toss you up, so he just comes around and tackles. Bowser Jr. also follows the Arrow Panels... he could really come in handy in some situations!

It's one of my favorite characters ever made. The style is perfect, just how I like it. The moves fit perfectly with the character. The attacks are memorable and stylish. The best thing I like of PM is the meteor attack which is just his regular jump to the enemy's head in the game, except it's super satisfying to use against.

Not sure if it's a feedback, but I find PM too hard to use in some moments. For example, I get that it's important to use the Chest, but I noticed that during a tough fight I can't barely use it. And the vellumental attacks require a specific move to call Olivia base on the type of the attack, but as I said, during the fight I don't feel like reading text on how to activate the attack.
That said, I've never felt the need to spam attacks like calling Bobby or Bowser, which has always made my way of attacking different.

Congrats again for this character - it's amazing and I think you did an amazing job.

question: what program did you use to make the character? I want to make a character myself but I am not sure what programs to use for making the sprites and the programing part.
