Autosniper goes brrrrr!


Hello people, We are back with another livesawn skin for the mil-spec rarity and this time we decided to apply the finish on the G3SG1. We've had this idea in our heads for a while already but never got around to making it on this weapon. We had fun making the finish and we hope you like the skin.


The work process was quite straight forward. As we said before we had this idea in our heads for quite a while and just started with the skin with how we envisioned it. Everything went super smoothly, from applying the materials to the detailling, there weren't many issues. One of the issues we did run into was the resolution of the finish in-game. In-game the finishes are limited to 2k texture sheets and the G3SG1 is quite a large weapon. This is sometimes noticeable in some of the detailling and we had to alter these details so it works properly.

Another annoying bit was the wear. The G3SG1 has many small parts that wear really fast, so instead of determening wear for the majority at the start, we had start with these small parts and then add all the faster wearing parts. Finally, after some time we got the wear to work well enough that there's enough difference between all the wear levels.
