A/F-18C Sea Sparrow

Description
Information
The Attacker/Fighter-18C Sea Sparrow was a continuation of the joint project between Hyperion Motors and the aerospace/defense company Northern-Gunman. After the success that was the A/F-18 Super Mustang, Hyperion realized that there was an untapped market in advanced naval jets. So, they got to work on the A/F-18C Sea Sparrow, a variant of the A/F-18 that has many upgrades and modifications to make it better suited to naval and carrier ops.

The Sea Sparrow has the same chassis as the Super Mustang, but the outer pylons were removed and the wings were swept back and shortened to give it better high-speed flight characteristics. It removes the capability to carry rockets and the TGP pod for an extra 2 J150 long range missiles, which makes it a better interceptor but a worse close air support aircraft. It also has extra wing slats to help it maneuver at high speeds more effectively, night vision to help with night ops, and is overall a much more nimble aircraft.

Features
-Fully detailed and working cockpit
-Payload:
-----4x L50 Short Range Missiles (~2km range at speed)
-----4x J150 Long Range Missiles (~100km range at speed)
-Fully locking and tracking radar
-Emergency Ejection System
-RWR (Radar Warning Receiver)
-Flares
-Night vision
-190m/s top speed
-14000L fuel tank which lets it go to the arctic and back on one tank, twice
-Altitude Hold
-Much, much more

Instructions
-Startup:
----1. Make sure all missiles are attached. If not, shove them in place.
----2. Get in cockpit and close canopy
----3. Turn on compressor (auto turns off once engines are started)
----4. Once engine RPS is stable ~20RPS, turn on systems
----5. Slowly let off thrust spoiler by pressing S and start taxiing/taking off.
-Throttle: 10 for Taxi, 20 for Takeoff, 30 for Cruise (155m/s), and 80 for full power (190m/s)
-Landing: Turn throttle to 15, when approaching runway make sure landing gear are down and brakes are on. Ease onto the thrust spoiler as you get close to the ground, and you should land just fine.

Tips
-On takeoff, make sure you are holding Down so that you lift off as soon as possible and avoid damage
-When firing missiles, make sure you are in range, and pointed towards or leading the target
-Use the J150 missiles for fast moving planes as the missiles move extremely fast
-J150 Missiles can be changed to be better at hitting air targets or ground targets in the Microcontroller
-When firing L50 missiles at fast planes, make sure you are much closer than the missile's max range
-To land on a carrier, set the throttle to 10, put the carrier catch down and turn on the magall, and slowly let on to the thrust spoiler as you approach the deck.

Updates:
Added an option in the main control microcontroller (back of the plane) to switch from Arrow Keys to WASD controls with one click.

Yes, there is a hidden side panel on the left side of the jet that you can open up to refuel.

You do not need to connect the W/S switch to anything, just click on the MC and switch the mode.

Is there any way to manually refuel the craft?

i will take a look at it then! we'll see if i can chance it. thanks for the help so far! (:

I made a switch in the microcontroller that you can switch to WASD controls.

i don't know how to change the controls to wasd instead of the arrows, can u tell me how to do it or do you hae any videos?

quite good!

ok i will try
ehfdl 23 Feb, 2021 @ 7:25pm
can you made a change control version?
like this, it's more familiar for keyboard (similar to other plane)
a/d-Roll
w/s-Pitch
left/right-Yaw
up/down-Thrust Spoiler
Daddy Bigbucks  [author] 23 Feb, 2021 @ 7:24pm
You can do that yourself, its very easy. I don't want to clutter up my workshop with extra unnecessary versions.
