Basilisk-class Heavy Cruiser

The Basilisk-class is powerful heavy cruiser designed for punching through enemy line with maximum frontal firepower- all of the main guns are superfiring and can engage target directly in front of the ship. As for broadside egagments, it can bring 75% of it's main armament to bear- it's enough to deal with a few smaller ships, but larger numbers can easily overwhelm it; it is then recommended to use this ship with support of other vessels. Basilisk is capable of both delivering heavy fire support where it's needed and quick repositioning, it can easily destroy other cruisers and smaller support ships, it struggles somewhat with capital ships because of it's cruiser-grade main battery not being able to penetrate thicker armor. The Basilisk is equipped with small hangar for torpedo ships and shuttle crafts.
Armament consists of:
14x Double 508mm (20 inch) heavy Gauss autocannons
16x Triple 203mm (8 inch) light Gauss autocannons
24x 40mm (1.5 inch) eight-barrel, fluid-cooled Gatling-style rotary point defence cannon

There is small internal framework for instalation of the transporter block.
