Technical Support at: https://steamproxy.net/groups/HarmonyForGames/discussions/1/

This Mod is a drop-in replacement for boformer's Harmony mod.

The goals of this project are:

  • stable Harmony library for mods that need to use patching,
  • mature update release plan. No more untested, undocumented Sunday night updates that break many mods,
  • responsible support. If I break something, I will take responsibility and work to fix it as quickly as possible. No blaming everyone else's mods; no requiring everyone to "update"
  • restoring a predictable modding environment, where creators don't have to wonder when their mods will be broken without warning.
  • Detect, manage, and inform you, the player of incompatibilities, broken mods, by means of the "Harmony Report", available in short form in the Content Manager under Harmony, or in the output_log.txt log file in full form.

See the discussions for detail on how these goals will be achieved.

As a drop in replacement, to use it, all you need to do is unsubscribe boformer's Harmony, and subscribe this one. That's all. All mods will automatically use this library, and you should see increased stability immediately.

Harmony Report

At the end of each game, after exiting the game, the Harmony Report will be written to the log file. If you've encountered any bugs or exceptions during your game session, look for the Report near the end of the log file.

The logged report comes in two formats, a Plain Text format and a Markdown format, which can be cut-and-pasted as a gist[gist.github.com] (gist at github). As a sample, see the Harmony's own validation report[gist.github.com] (validation report).

Also, before starting a game session, an abridged Harmony Report is accessible in the Content Manager, the Mods panel, by clicking "REPORT" next to the Harmony Mod. If there are any issues you would like to address, you can unsubscribe broken mods while the report is open, and the report will update live as the mods are deleted.
