Description
This is an unofficial mod for the amazing game Radlands!

Description (from BoardGameGeek)
Radlands is a competitive, dueling card game about identifying fiercely powerful card synergies.

Act as the leader of your post apocalyptic group of survivors in a tooth-and-nail fight to protect your three camps from a vicious rival tribe. If all of them are destroyed, you lose the game.

The main resource in the game is water. You will spend it to play people and events, and to use the abilities of cards you already have on the table. People protect your camps and provide useful abilities, while events are powerful effects that take time to pay off.

Both players draw cards from the same deck. All cards can either be played to the table or discarded for quick “junk” effects. To win, you will need to manage your cards and water wisely.

Buy The Game!
You can order the deluxe and super deluxe editions here: https://roxley.com/products/radlands
You will also be able to buy from your FLGS sometime in the near future also.

Mod Features
  • Start game button: nothing fancy, it just deals each player the 6 starting camps they need.
  • Reset water button: sends all the water tokens back to there starting locations
  • Advance events button: moves all cards in the event column forward one position. Card in the first position moves to center of the board.

Rules Summary
Setup
  1. Draw 6 cards from the camp deck. For your first game they recommend set starting camps. One player gets Garage, Railgun, and Supply Depot; the other gets Reactor, Cannon, and Victory Totem.
  2. Place 3 of your drawn camps face down in the camp spots. When both players have selected, flip your camps face up. Return all unselected camps to the camp deck.
  3. Draw your starting hand from the main deck. The number of cards you draw is equal to the total sum of the numbers in the black rectangles on your camps.
  4. Randomly decide someone to pick who becomes the first player.

Turn Structure
Players take turns performing the phases below in the order listed. On their first turn of the game though, the first player only has 1 water token instead of 3.

Events
Resolve the effect of the event in the 1 position in the event queue and discard it. Then move all events in your queue one space forward.

Replenish
Collect your 3 water tokens, then draw a card. You always reset here with 3 water tokens, always.

Actions
The main phase of the game. Do any of the follow actions in any order, any number of times.
  • Play a card from your hand
  • Junk a card from your hand
  • Use the ability of a camp or person in play (people have to be ready)
  • Draw a card by spending 2 water
  • Take your Water Silo into hand by spending a water

Tips
  • Water is scarce. You'll often have a dozen things you'll want to do on a turn, but only have enough water for a few of them. Saving one for a future turn with the Water Silo can make a huge difference on that turn.
  • Healing is strong but is in short supply in the main deck. A camp that can heal should always be in consideration.
  • The more cards you have in you hand the better. Card advantage is important as in most card games, but even more so when junk effects are an option.
  • Speaking of junk effects, don't be afraid of junking cards. This is an important part of the gameplay, especially as it doesn't cost any water (which as mentioned before can be in short supply).
  • Don't forget your Raiders. A damage on your oppenents camps they can't avoid is amazing.

How do you view your cards after they have been dealt? The only way I know how to currently is by dragging it out of the deal box and dropping them on the table. Is there a way to just keep them in the dealt box and view them? When I hit 'alt' from there, it just continues to be flipped over. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to TTS.

Hi, Iceman! Similar to the comment below, I'm really hoping that you'd be able to add in the new camps into the game once the expansion drops! I love playing the game IRL but honestly end up playing with friends on TTS more. For that, I can't thank you enough!

Hi Iceman, with the new expansion coming out soon, i am hoping you will add that into the game! (along with updating the rules to v 1.2!). Play this all the time so you are always in my graces!

Hello Icemen, i took a whole day remastering the visuals with your script as base, some free Artwork by Redlands Artist and gave it a little personal touch adding the deluxe bundle mattes and a custom matte mixing an inspiration of your gameboard and the official stuff from the devs.. its in german but hit me up if you have something against publishing it to the workshop, or in case you want to see it :)

Didnt upload yet since i wanted to ask first. cheers sir and ty for the script ! :)

Dealing cards and viewing cards correctly seems to in hotseat only if the players select "RED" and "BLUE" as their team colours.

I tried playing this for the first time today, and I was unable to functionally use 'hotseat' mode. I chose my two colours (player 1, 2), then I pressed "start game" then dealt 6 camp cards to each player, but I can see neither of the players' hands. The only way to see the card is to "play" it from the hand onto the table. Is there another way to play hotseat? Also, when trying to deal 6 cards to myself, I pressed "6" on my keyboard which normally deals 6 cards to myself, but this appeared to do nothing.

I am not sure how to use it, I subscribe the mod, then started my own server, and load the mod, but no image can be load, is there any steps that I have been missing?

Not sure what you mean sorry @Barki, This mod doesn't support any turn based functionality, you can just ignore TTS' turn stuff.

@Dab, I actually started a reset game button but put it into the too-hard basket, especially as you can just reload the mod for the same effect (pretty sure the decks shuffle after mod load). I might try again at some point though. For the reset water buttons I'm going to look into that.

Every time I end a turn, it starts the same players turn again, any ideas?

Great job, very smooth! If I can make but two suggestions: 1. A 'Reset Game' button to continue the fun, and 2. Have the 'Reset Water' button *only* reset the water for the side that presses the button. But awesome mod, well done!
