Update 8/16/2021 - Replaced all solar panels with new RE part version. Removed all solar capacitors as they are no longer available in RE game play. These changes were to fix the ship showing in red in Reforged Eden.

Update 2/17/21 - Swapped warp drive to new version after update to fix changed Item ID.

Update 2/8/2021 - Reworked module docking LCD's and sensors. The issue was they were causing issues while docking modules. I have reworked the locations of LCD's and motion sensors on all 4 module bays so they are removed from the ceiling. Now docking should be clean and easier with a much tighter fit to the carrier. I also fixed a light sensor range issue in the main hallway leading to the drop ship bay.

The Helios-Module Space Carrier, aka "Sled" is a very large CV/HV/SV carrier designed to work with multiple add in CV modules for various purposes. Stock the ship comes with limited thrusters and generators however it can be greatly upgraded with more parts such as CPU increase blocks, thrusters, and generators. The overall design of this is meant act like a space station that is however mobile.

Module Support

The ship has 4 standard module bays, 1 drop ship module bay, and 4 CV deployable weapon sentry mounts. Modules are decent sized CV's that dock in the module bays adding movable function to the ship. For instance, a module could be for production, farming, storage, mining, you name it. With this in mind, the ship can be custom fit overtime for the functions a player wants. Many different modules by many authors will be available on the workshop soon. If you want to make and publish your own modules, use others as examples as they have to have certain specs to fit in the bays, link to the interior, and dock using 1st person LCD guides. If you do make a module and test it, please send me a link here and I will get these all added to a collection of support modules. The drop ship module bay works similar to the other module bays just offset to one side or the other.

Docking Modules

In every module bay, you will see some guide LCD's pointing to a very specific point. To dock a module, (best if done in 1st person), you first would pull up to a bay and level your self off, then in first person use the cross hair to line up to the LCD indicators and fly into the bay to the front wall. I would also recommend pulling up to the ceiling once reaching the wall. Let off the thrust and the module should be docked. It will now be accessible from the carrier on the interior. Do to an annoyance of the inner bay doors opening and closing, I have them on switches next to the bay doors so they can stay open all the time when a module is docked. Also, each docking bay has 2 LCD saying bay information. The one with a small white decal allows you to set the name on the LCD of the ship docked. The other LCD is for graphics only. When loading a drop ship module for moving HV's and SV's to a planet, you would first want to undock it by a hair in the bay allowing you to dock HV/SV's to it. Like wise when unloading, first move all HV/SV's from the module to the front hangar or center hallway then dock the module again to the ship.

Combat features

The ship is made of hardened steel, has a T2 shield, and 14 stock flak turrets, and 320K ammo bay. With that being said, you really do not want to get this ship into combat. Upgraded it should be able to escape most threats and with a shield and flak turrets is only meant to fend off drone attacks. I would highly recommend keeping the ship out of harms way as much as possible thou. It is meant as a space station/carrier and not a combat vessel and only has defensive weapons for light attacks.

Stock survival Features

The ship comes with a small crafting area in the bridge area including 1 advanced constructor, 2 small constructors, 1 320K storage, and a 320K ammo storage. It also has a full medical bay (hangar), fridge, cooking station, armor locker, armor repair, crew area, 8 point wifi (covering the entire ship and docked modules), detector, CPU room, starboard and port engineering areas, and a large hangar with central access down the center of the ship to the drop ship module bay (back of ship). Also it includes an advanced warp drive, T2 shield and pentaxid tank. One last thing, the ship has many o2 zones in case of a hull breach.

Features Summary:

1. Reforged Eden only - 1 basic core, 2 improved cores, 5 advanced cores (2.1 million CPU).
2. Hardened Steel Hull, 14 Flak turrets, T2 shield, advanced warp core
3. 1 320K ammo bay, 1 320K storage bay, 1 advanced and 2 small constructors
4. Detector, 8 point WiFi, Fridge, armor locker, Med bay, O2 + Station
5. 4 standard module bays, 1 drop ship bay, 4 sentry bays, large hangar, enormous flight deck with 5 support elevators
6. Built to perform with the function of a space station but mobile.
7. Very upgradable in game to seriously increase thrust power allowing for some very heavy loads. If upgraded with more lift thrust, can also land on planets.
8. Tested in RE with 5 decent sized CV's and 4 20x320K storage modules all filled with to the max with elevator blocks and could still achieve warp speed with fully upgraded thruster package.
9. 24 solar panels, 6 capacitors.

Looked at this ship and the regular one and this one is missing thrusters. I have the reforged mod but I am baffled why the RE version of this ship is missing items.

OK love the ship but have just one question and that is can a SV be docked where the CV's be docked?

Did you remove ships docked on the ship you are trying to dock? Only empty ships can be docked. Also ship should be level using the "o" key for ease of landing.

Shouldn't I be able to dock ships to the top surface? Yes, I have landing gear. I tried turning off shields on both ships too. I don't know. Help appreciated

Jrandall's Apollo module was made especially for the larger rear hangar area. Of course, any of the standard modules would fit there also. Apollo here:
