Off-Planet Express RTO

Description
-SURVIVAL READY
-NO DLC REQUIRED (some used but only cosmetic, can skip)
-NO MODS
-NO SCRIPTS REQUIRED (but it's ready for scripts if desired)

This ship was built from necessity. She's an ugly beast, but she does the job.

I desperately wanted to get off-planet and start mining asteroids for that sweet, sweet uranium and platinum, but my buddy who runs the survival server keeps telling me how hard it is and how much it takes and how there's all these ridiculous steps that we need to take to get there.

So I made this, the Off-Planet Express.

*****RTO STANDS FOR 'ROCKET TAKE-OFF', WHEN YOU SET UP THIS BLUEPRINT ORIENT IT LIKE A ROCKET ON A PAD, IT WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH THRUST TO KEEP ITSELF ALOFT IF YOU BUILD IT 'FLAT' LIKE EVERY OTHER SHIP I SEE. LASTLY, TAKE OFF AND JUST BURN STRAIGHT FOR ORBIT, IT WON'T HAVE ENOUGH THRUST FROM SIDE ANGLES TO STAY IN THE AIR******

The Off-Planet Express was designed to make a one-way trip into orbit. It has plenty of thrust to land back on planet if need be, but it has enough thrust to stock up around 300 tons of components and materials, and begin turning itself into either a semi-stationary mining base or an all-out station. Want to mine with it? Take the required materials to craft yourself a mining drone or small miner. Want to make a processing station? It's got everything on-board to process materials and craft components, just stock up on whatever materials to craft yourself a re-entry vehicle to get back down to your main planet-side base or whatever. Want to turn it into a waystation? Pack to build yourself a solar array or three and swap out the large thrusters for smaller ones for maintaining an orbit.

It's got a 'dry' weight of about 400 tons, but the large hydro thruster will provide lift from surface level of about 734 tons of mass. In survival settings (3/1/3/3) I loaded it up with about 300 tons of cargo and successfully made orbit. It won't go fast, but it'll get to orbit and leave you with about 85% of hydrogen remaining in the large tank and do it with enough supplies that you can step out into the stars.

There is a rather small C&C deck with cockpit access as well as 3 terminals for various systems use (for those of you who play with friends). There is also a very small 'living quarters' area decorated for a roleplay feel or just for the looks. It comes with a double-sliding door airlock. The C&C deck's LCD and terminal screens, as well as the airlock, can be enhanced with scripts if desired. The interior is airtight, and reasonably protected by four gatling turrets and a missile turret forming a reasonable all-round protective shield. The armor isn't super thick in order to minimize weight, but you can always thicken it up if you want once it's in orbit and out of a gravity well.

Theoretically this ship can be made without ever leaving orbit for rare materials, you just skip a few of the items that require them until you find some in orbit. You'll have plenty of hydrogen left to maneuver for a little while without building the ion thrusters, and you can just use the backup hydrogen engine to supplement battery life until you get some uranium for the reactor.

Comes equipped with:
Refinery
x2 Basic refinery
x2 Assembler
(all refineries and assemblers have mods installed)
x2 O2/H2 generator
x2 Small O2 tanks
Large hydrogen tank
Reactor
Backup Hydrogen Engine
(or can be primary if you haven't gotten materials to craft the reactor but are eager to go)
Battery x4
x2 Cryo pods
x2 Beds (if you have the DLC, otherwise just make them light armor blocks)

x2 Connectors for dropping off miner ship payloads or whatever

Does not have an ore detector but you can add one if you want to mine with this thing.
