Kurin HAR Apparel Patch [OBSOLETE]

Obsolete?
As of Sep 2, 2021, the main mod let's you use any apparel you would like, thus making this mod no more necessary. Thanks for everyone that subscribed!




Old Description

A simple apparel patch for Kurin HAR Edition.




With this, you remove the Kurin's racial limitation of apparel use, so now you can use any apparel that vanilla pawns have access to.

This mod was created to make kurins use some important modded apparels that they normally can't, like Communicable Deseases' masks and Rimatomics's PPE.

!!!ATTENTION!!!

This mod DOES NOT resize apparels to make then visually fit Kurins. Expect floating dust masks, clipping vanilla cloaks etc.

Yes, works fine on 1.3 from what I've gathered. I updated the version tag, If someone find any problems, please leave a comment.

Can confirm with @ShadeofHades and @Kelven. Very glad to have this working (good enough) on 1.3/Ideology! It was annoying getting quest rewards I couldn't use. Set to load after all other modded races/apparel just to be sure.

As @ShadeofHades says, it seems like it works fine on 1.3. Just make sure to put it below Kurin HAR Edition in the load order

@Ponky - I don't know if it causes you issues, but at least in my 1.3 modlist this works (though it does complain).

I think the reason for the custom layers might be in preventing other races from using those clothes, but I think there's another way you can restrict it though I don't know enough about the HAR framework beyond that

@Rogue, that's something I've been wanting as well, and agreed that it definitely adds a lot of complexity to the mod structure. It would probably be worth surfacing in the Kurin HAR Edition mod itself, if you wanted to add your comment to that mod.

@Rogue to do that I would probably need to patch every kurin clothing to use vanilla layers, and to be fair that's a lot of work. It's easier to make a custom apparel outfit that will limit the kurin's clothing choices to what you want then to use and avoid using two sets of armour that souldn't be used at the same time. This is just a quick fix to make then use everything vanilla pawns are able to, the way you choose to play after that is your choice in the end of the day.

Could you just remove the special layers and make all of their apparel use vanilla layers? Custom layers like that spawn a lot of little issues with other mods and stuff. Such as not showing up in RPG Inventory. Also, with this patch Kurins are able to use both their own racial apparel and armor PLUS vanilla-layered armor and apparel.
