Description


From the Shadows Unit Pack

New custom units to help bolster Eshin's roster while trying to remain lore friendly and appropriately themed for Clan Eshin. Strike fear from the shadows with powerful new tools.

New units that have been added:

Assassin Adepts
  • Higher tier death runners equipped with a small stock of death globes to shatter enemy formations before striking.
  • Experts in hit and run strategies.
  • Potent harassers.
  • Requires Arsenal

Gutter Runner Bombardiers
  • Gutter runners equipped with poison wind globes requisitioned from Clan Skryre armories.
  • Great for sustained harassment of enemy units
  • Requires Weapons Burrow

Blackclaws
  • A trio of deadly assassins equipped with claws and throwing stars coated in the deadliest poisons from Clan Pestilens.
  • Anti-infantry unit capable of holding their own in a fight
  • Requires Plague Abbey

Sword Saint of Eshin
  • A new single entity regiment of renown. An unmatched sword master capable of tearing through the front lines of filthy no-furs.
  • Deadly warp lighting strikes around this unit in the heat of battle
  • Extremely fast attacker
  • Unlocked at Rank 30

Black Furs (Dual Swords)
  • Elite Anti-infantry unit
  • Heavily armored front line unit
  • Causes fear
  • Armor Piercing Toxins

Black Furs (Halberd)
  • Elite Anti-large unit
  • Heavily armored front line unit
  • Causes fear
  • Charge defender
  • Armor Piercing Toxins

Shadow Ogres
  • Stealth based monstrous infantry
  • Designed for flanking
  • Causes terror
  • Anti-infantry
  • Armor Piercing Toxins

All units have unique kitbashed/custom models and retextures to help them stand out from other eshin units (except Blackclaws they use the master assassin models). This is my first ever Warhammer 2 mod so it's likely not balanced at all.

Recruitment Patch
As requested I have made a small patch to allow all major clans to recruit the new FTS units. Install alongside the unit pack.

Who do I have to pay to get this mod ported to WH3? I've had 0 reason to play Clan Eshin without it.

At some stage yes but I don't currently own WH3 and IRL stuff has been taking up the majority of my time. If anyone wants to port it in the mean time they have my permission. Please share a linkj if you do so I can add it to the description.

Hey, do you plan on porting this mod to TWW3 Immortal Empires? I cant play Eshin without this mod anymore.

what do you mean AI can't use custom units? What's the point of them then?

@n.pedrazalis AI cannot use custom units, due to engine limitations. This goes for all custom unit mods. You need to remove anything that causes the AI to recruit the custom AI's otherwise you will crash every time a battle is loaded with the units on the AI side.

Hello all modded units from this mod are causing me crash in custom battle maps when used by the Ai could you solve it please , using sfo and gcm mpas

Thanks for the feedback, I doubt I'll have time to implement those changes in the current mod but with WH3 out and soon to get Mortal Empires I will likely end up porting the mod and I'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration.

EDIT: The Blackclaws are extremely overtuned as well. Able to take on entire armies with just one or two units of them.

Again, my suggestion would be two make the Sword-Saint a Hero or Lord whilst also toning down his stats and abilities (I really don't think perma-lightning either fits or is balanced for an already deadly infantry unit) and then make the Blackclaws the Regiment of Renown whilst toning them down as well.
