You may want to increase the designator's effective ammo range. i checked with Configurable Parameters and the ammo only has a range of 5m. So it won't aim at any range above 5m regardless of AI targetting range. Not much of an issue to edit on my end but a FYI for anyone who plans to use this.

paints enemies with a long range laser so that other seeking mods can use it to find targets
