UAC "V17 Shuriken" Long Range Fighter

After the Battle of the Antares Cluster, it was clear the UAC needed a stronger more powerful fighter with anti capital ship capabilities while being less reliant on a mother ship. Development officially began for the V17 Shuriken in 2237, the first generation entered service in 2239. The Shuriken secured its place within the Commonwealth Navy after a stunning victory over Dominion forces in sector 325, destroying 3 capital ships within the opening engagement and pulling the attack away from civilian vessels, the Second generation of Shuriken is speculated to be in development with next gen shield technology acquired from a captured Xi'anshi cruiser.
