Description
Welcome to the Complete Collection of music from Crusader Kings II, for Crusader Kings III!

This mod should contain all music ever released for Crusader Kings II, around 93 unique tracks, including those not released separately as part of the Holy Fury and Jade Dragon expansions.

Metal tracks are also included. If you'd rather not have them, see the alternatives below!

I've manually edited the sound settings of each track so that they should generally be of a similar volume to the vanilla CK3 soundtrack.

This mod does not replace any of the CK3 music (aside from the main menu music) and it will still randomly play in-between CK2 tracks. I haven't yet done any testing so I cannot say how frequently CK2 tracks will play. If you'd rather the vanilla music was removed entirely, see the alternatives below!

UPDATE: Event popups and war declarations will no longer constantly interrupt the tracks. Be aware that this only applies to the music added in this mod, vanilla music will still be interrupted. However, considering most people using this mod prefer the CK2 soundtrack anyway, this can probably be considered a good thing!

UPDATE 2: With the Northern Lords flavour pack, music triggers have been added to the game. Utilising this for the mod, songs should now play for the appropriate cultures, religions and regions as they did in CK2 (no more Chinese music when playing as a Catholic Irish duke!).

Contents
Aside from the vanilla tracks included in the base game (see video above), this mod includes music from the following expansions/DLC:

Due to it's very limited seasonal relevance, this mod does NOT include Songs of Yuletide.

Alternatives
Understanding that this mod won't cater to everyone's wishes, I've created a few separate standalone mods to help alleviate this. One completely removes the metal tracks, one has only metal tracks and the other removes the base game CK3 music entirely:

Compatibility
✔️ Ironman compatible - This mod does not modify the checksum and will not prevent you from getting achievements!

✔️ Savegame compatible - Saves made before downloading this mod can be loaded and played as normal!

This should also be fully compatible with most vanilla-focused mods, even ones that also alter the in-game music (though I haven't tested this). The only potential for conflict is if a mod has music files with names that are identical to ones in here.

This will work, to an extent, with overhaul mods like A Game of Thrones although you will only be able to hear the base-game CK2 tracks since the music triggers will not work with entirely custom cultures and map regions. I may release future music packs as sub-mods for the major overhaul mods in the future, but I currently have no plans to do so.

If you have any further questions regarding the mod, please have a read through the FAQ before leaving a comment, thanks!

---

I do not profit from the distribution of any of these mods and should any of the tracks included be officially added by Paradox to Crusader Kings III in the future, they shall be removed!

Even with the Sound Fix for 1.12 mod these songs are very quiet compared to the songs in the base game.
I would recommend trying to use as close to the original files you can get as possible
Also all mods are compatible with achievements now so it can be removed from the description :GardenLove:

roger, sounds like a plan!

@KayinDreemurr - The recent major update seems to have created this issue . Paradox, for whatever reason, has drastically reduced the size and quality of the in-game sound files which has, among other things, made the music tracks much quieter.

Considering the strong negative backlash and confusion to this seemingly terrible change to the in-game sound, I won't be updating the mod in the near future since it seems likely this is something Paradox will fix themselves. But if this does turn out to be a permanent change, I will look into re-calibrating the volume of the mod's music tracks.

I would suggest raising the base volume or whatever of the CK2 music, as it often seems to be very low and soft and often I have trouble hearing them without turning the volume up.

@Machiranae - Unfortunately that one's probably a bit too niche to justify making into a separate mod. Honestly I think I will have to put my foot down when it comes to making any more variations as I fear this is quickly turning into that Two Ronnies sketch !

sorry for doing this but would you think about making a version that has ck2 music, ck3 music, ck2 metal BUT none of the songs with vocals?

thanks

@Immortal2 - Well, until the time comes when I can create a unified mod I guess yet another version will have to do . Hope you like it :)

@ManicMayo I understand. I think you're right; the solutions can be only 2: a unificated mod with settings or just another (and last) version. I understand modding is hard, I tryed learning it but between few free time, no "teachers" and the slow evaporation of my entusiasm led my mods to hibernation and I think if I return into modding I'll do something very specific

@Immortal2 - I just didn't want to have loads of slight variations of the same mod cluttering up the workshop. Ideally I'd add an option in the game's audio settings that would let players choose whichever set of songs they'd like to play and then package that all into a single mod but, alas, GUI modding is a bit beyond my skills!

Saying that though, I do often get this specific request (No CK3 Music + No Metal) and I suppose one more mod can't hurt...
