Two Delaware corvettes were constructed on their insane difficulty test galaxy. The USS Delaware was rebuilt from the USS Rhode Island and the USS Newark was constructed at the shipyard in -104:437.

Both served as AI mining vessels, operating along the gate network until sector -125:382, where they were both converted to the Connecticut class configuration.

Although similar in design to a Saladin, the Delaware is a very small craft, and would be more in-line with a Starfleet runabout or Oberth class vessel. Its configuration and size limits it to a sector patrol craft, light scout, or AI mining craft.
