Whaler TIMMY | Working sails

Description
I tried to make a typical whaler that could go to sea in the mid-19th century.
"Charles W. Morgan" and "Pequod" are taken as a basis, but this is not a copy.
The Boston whaler was a not very big ship: displacement 300-400 tons, length 45-50 m, sailing armament-a three-masted barque. It was distinguished by a deep draft, width and a roomy hold for barrels of extracted fat, as well as special frame rostrums for rapid descent and ascent of whaleboats. It was designed to allow a small crew (up to 20 people) to fill the hold during the fishing season.
The rise of the whaling industry lasted through the 1840s and 1850s. Then, with the widespread production of kerosene, the demand for whale oil plummeted. Fishing continued for the sake of whalebone, but declined and did not have an industrial scale. The disappearance of the whale herds finally put an end to the New England whalers.

HOW TO SAIL:
  • Spawn it as a mission.

  • Wait a minute for the generator to start working.

  • You must put the sail in the correct position relative to the wind to sail, as shown in the pics below:

  • The sail is controlled from the steering wheel.

  • Adjust the speed by raising and lowering the sails.

  • You can fold the sails.

  • Sing shanties, catch whales, be a real sailor.
