INTELLIGENCE REPORT - DESTRUCTION OF DSRS CALYSTO

"They're coming......."

This was the last message received from the deep space recon ship Calysto.

The Calysto reported first contact with an alien vessel of Frigate class. Shortly after, a partial translation of the hailing communication from the frigate reveals that the alien race are called "Vorn" and their ship was described as a "Rezakh". We assume this means the class of warship they are aboard. It appears that the Vorn gave a warning/threat to leave as "inferior species will not be tolerated amongst the Imperium"

Long range scans showed that the "Rezakh" then made an attacking run against the Calysto destroying the recon ship and all aboard.

SCAN RESULTS:

CLASS: "Rezakh" Frigate

HULL: Combat Steel

ARMAMENT:

10 Missile Turrets
8 Pulse Laser Turrets
2 Pulse Laser Cannons
2 Artillery Turrets
8 Flak Turrets
6 Cannon Turrets

SHIELD DETECTED

We must assume that this race, and vessel, are extremely hostile and a defensive countermeasure must be found with all haste.

OTHER INTELLIGENCE:

We have observed that further Vorn ships, of yet unknown types, are arriving in our galaxy. Attacks on other species have taken place out on the galactic rim. In one engagement, a ZIRAX PERIAT Frigate was attacked and destroyed in under 5 minutes. The "Rezakh" was undamaged and we assume this is due to it's shielding and construction.

However, no attacks have taken place against the Polaris. Indeed, we have observed what appears to be cargo vessels entering and leaving Polaris space without incident. The reason for this is currently unclear.
