With just this mod enabled, when I place a hinge, the hinge part doesn't appear. WHen I try to add the part in the console menu, the game crashes.
So far I'm working around that by using advanced rotors.
Building two fusion thrusters on the same grid causes them to take damage, slowly losing steel plates etc until they start smoking and gonig into the red. When the engineer gets close enough to the thruster (about 1 block away) there's a kind of pulsing effect, roughly once per second. In survival this might cause character damage, I don't know.
But when I built the second fusion thruster off a rotor, there's no problem at all.
Probable cause: the magnetic flux is so intense around those tokomaks that it induces a large fluctuating current in the coil of the 2nd thruster, causing both to be damaged. This doesn't explain the fix I found, though!
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\2344068716\Data\CubeBlocks_Vanilla
Open up CubeBlocks_Mechanical.sbc
Replace line 657's
<RotorPart>LargeHingeHead</RotorPart>
with
<RotorPart>HingeHead</RotorPart>
and add a new line
<MediumTopPart>HingeHead3x3</MediumTopPart>
