Constructed by Rendili Star Drive & designed by the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps, The Providence-Class Dreadnought was one of the most fearsome vessels in the Separatist Navy. Thanks to its size, impressive armament and significant fighter compliment, the Providence-Class was often seen as the CIS counterpart to the Republic's Venator-Class Star Destroyer.

These vessels rarely traveled alone, often serving as flagships within Separatist fleets, often flanked by Munificent-Class Star Frigates. They often also found themselves fill in the role carrier thanks to their sizable complement of Vulture Droids, Hyena-Class Bombers & Droid Tri-Fighters.

The Providence-Class played a major role during many important battles across the duration of the Clone Wars. One of these vessels was commanded by Admiral Trench during the blockade of Christophsis, however, it was eventually destroyed by a republic IPV-2c Stealth Corvette.

At the end of the war, one of these vessels was used by General Grievous as his flagship during the Battle of Coruscant. Before his vessel's destruction Count Dooku was killed in a duel with Anakin Skywalker on the vessel's observation deck.

Following the end of the war, most of these vessels would be scrapped, however one of these vessels would serve the Alliance Navy as a signal jamming vessel.
