Brief Achievement Guide VS A.I.
By Myslovitz
Hello there,

The reason you are here is that you probably want to get 100% achievement on Tooth and Tail. Part of which requieres you to either play ranked games OR vs A.l. (which includes playing 2vs1)

If you are person like me, you dont have much time to play at least 100 ranked games AND win them (xd!). So i found exploit and simple strategy how to beat every 2vs1 A.I. achievment there is.

Hello there,

I highly recommend to use my seed and strategy. First thing first:
  • 1. Go to multiplayer
  • 2. Select offline and standard map
  • 3. Enter properties below
change seed enter this seed: 637414235650365974
    other settings
    Game type: 2vs1 (ofc)
    Environment: Black Sledge
    Size: Standard
    Grimstils: Scarce
    Campfires: None
    Army Size: 6
  • 4. Continue
  • 5. Pick hero and select yourself as team1
  • 6. Pick bots and select them as team2, pick their difficulty (as ruthless for example)
  • 7. Now important stuff, army. We need: Feather Wire, Bullet Hive, Wing Demons (hawks), Owls. Rest is optional i picked Squirrels and Drumfire Cannon.
  • 8. Start game
If you have entered everything correctly your starting position should look like this. Click on image to make it bigger.

2. Execution
So here is strategy, we are going full turtle mode and since there are only 6 Gristmill on this map we are waiting untill enemy A.l. will run out of unites and food and then, counterattack.

As you can already see u have second Gristmill right on start on favourable position, but before you take your second grimstill u need to place few bullet hives there and after taking controll Gristmill you need to establish stronghold:

Here is your "go to" setup on 2 bases

With color red i marked position where your Bullet hives should be.
With color blue where your Wires should be.

once you established stronghold, recruit small army consisting: one owl and few hawks. With this army u will finish off starving A.l.s base.

Try it few times, you should get with second try. Let me know how it all went.
3. Achievment: Deadbones
Whole strategy is based about cheesing at the start with moles. The thing with ruthless CPU is that they start with more farms than you do at the start, so you cannot win in standard skirmish under 5 minutes with out cheesing.

So at the start the game with a lot of early game unites (including moles) and for example lizards, pigeons and snakes. Dont build farm at the start, instead search for enemy and build mole warrens and harass their economy early on, and destroy their warrans if they are building any.

But dont forget to build up your economy and army too. Moles are only to (sort off) even the chances a little bit. Im pretty sure that with few tries you can do this with out any problem.

I recommend watching this YouTube video. This may be helpfull with execution.

if anyone is still sorta suffering with Deadbones in the day and age of 2024, use 1186736454 as your map and just rely on red squirrels and moles to rush.

you'll wanna place the squirrels in the mill zone across from the enemy spawn, and you can take pot-shots for free against any spawning spots they set up (so long as they don't spawn anything before they die). after you kill off most of their early stuff with at least 9 squirrels, set down moles so they can take out the enemy main mill and any spawners/defenses they have set up. was fairly nice for me, cause they had lizards and doves as their cheap guys (and I drained them of meat by destroying whatever they put down).

It's the opposite for me. I had gotten lucky with a deadbones attempt and got that out of the way with two mole warrens (might vary) though the execution of the turtling is taking some getting used to, at least to a point where I might be able to make a comeback. Ferrets have also been a bad roll as they outrange hives.

Thanks a ton for this guide. It got me through all these achievements very reliably. The Deadbones one was the hardest but after a lot of tries and re-tries I got it.
