Don't you know this is 2020 and not 1995?! How can you keep updating, tweaking, putting out fixes for this game without any micro-transactions? Continuing development of a game with no revenue from micro-txs or monthly subs makes no sense! I like others were salty about the release... we were wrong. You guys are amazing.

Well, if they updated the game to the point where it is today but charging for every update, then I don't think people would have changed their minds like they did about it. But the fact that they have done it without asking for a single penny (apart from the first buy) from their playerbase is nice, and I don't think anyone forgot about what happened at first. Actually, I've started playing this week and when people see me playing they ask me why because what they remember about the game was the terrible launch. It's a stain that will probably never leave but I'm glad they continued working on it when they could just abandon it, change the studios name and hype another game :p

It's ironic that a game that failed to meet promises at launch wins an award celebrating that it's inital failed promises were gradually met over four years. The lesson here must be: lie about your game before launch, then meet your promises years later and get an award for changing gameplay over a long period of time. So... grats, I guess?

That Award is the very definition of No Mans Sky. I literally can't imagine what the game will look like this time next year! :-D
