Every CBE mods are compatible with SFO except Proper Effects Addon, but you have an alternate compatible version of this particular submod. ;)
Yes unfortunately, that's also not works perfectly fine, because of a vanilla issue related on how terrain types work with map and their related effects, more details here . I haven't found any way to fix that for now and it's probably not fixable easily or not at all.
I can probably improve performances, but for that I must work on the vfx xmls themself and I don't have the time and motivation for now. And the performance impact will probably remain quite important, so I don't know if it really worth to take time for that.
I would probably have edited the vfx to have a coherent color dust if bounded terrains effects was not a mess.
Anyway, you have a lighter dust version of the mod in this ressources package . But that always have a noticable impact on performances. ;)
The bad news: This mod works too well.
Expect a noticeable (4-10) fps drop with this mod on.
Feel free to do what you want with that. ;)
I took a deeper look and in fact their effects are not related to dust at all. It's more like something to simulate a light cloud effect where the horses walk, I don't know exactly what is the idea but I think it's that.
So I changed my mind. I don't want to remove it for now, I will try rework that when I can, however I have something for you.
If you prefere to remove it, or if you don't want to use Thicker Dust with the new effect later, here you have a file that disable this effect [drive.google.com].
Simply drop it into your game data folder and enjoy :
by default : " ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II\data "
(delete it of your game data folder to uninstall it)
Because that really annoying me.
