Description
Please do not reupload this without my permission.

This creation is not an accurate recreation of an actual LARC V, it is merely visually interpreted and modified to fit the playstyle of SW.
This vehicle was created during a very chopped up and inconsistent timeline, if you are to encounter any bugs/issues with the creation immediately contact me and I will resolve them to the best of my ability. Furthermore, if you have any future ideas/implementations you would enjoy seeing on this vehicle, contact me. (ss1#6217)

Author's Note
I present to you, the LARC V (Light Amphibious Resupplier (Cargo) 5 ton). This is a land based truck that is capable of water travel. There are different modes for each application, and you will find a multitude of stuff to tinker and change to improve/change your driving experiences. Please leave feedback and questions in the comments below, this vehicle is made for you to discover and understand with usage. May cause slight lag on servers due to buoyancy matters, not too potent however. I would love to hear about your adventures with this! This creation is not a replica nor is it fully intended to be. Stormworks does not like things that make sense, so the cab has been enclosed unlike the real one, and there are other small features like the deck placements and space usage and scale that differ. However, this is a very similar craft.

History
Developed in the 1950's in the USA by the Borg Warner Corp. to carry cargo and troops over land/sea more efficiently than previously done. A total of 950 were built during a 6 year span in the 60's. They were continously used and rarely modified throughout most of the upcoming decades, and have even seen action in a few of the US involved major conflicts during the time. Though extremely outdated and basically historic relics, these vehicles are still in use today around the world, in few numbers, often for recreational use rather than militarized. The hull is made of light aluminum, and has aluminum frame bracing, includes floatation wheels that help provide buoyancy.

Quick Use Guide
To start, turn ignition key, and select mode (directly in front of driver on top cluster). If on land mode, use 1, 2, and 3, respectively to change gears and enable/disable parking brake (all info displayed on dash). In water mode, use normal or increased torque mode (for speed and or towing power). Fuel and battery charge are shown on dash, turn off battery if not in use for long duration but still spawned in. To repair vehicle's systems, crawl into the front hold and use a torch mounted on the ceiling to fix broken MCs. Most stuff is self explanatory, if you have further questions leave them in the comments or DM me (ss1#6217). Enjoy!

End Note
Thanks for checking out this vehicle, I'd love to hear your feedback and or opinions in the comments below.

CHANGELOG
  • 12/6/20 ~ Changed lock to include engine door, fixed appearance issues, rotated default deck lights to face outward, implemented fire extinguisher in cab, added more sensitive brake lights, extreme bilge redesign/improvement [fix]. Other minor tweaks/fixes. Also completely redesigned/fixed stabilization system.

  • 12/13/20 ~ Fixed Cruise Control! Thanks to blobby for informing me that it was broken (would not have known otherwise), it should work fine now. Sorry about the poorly optimized CC pid, that thing was a disaster to make but it is good at keeping that speed regardless of how the engine sounds.

  • ?/?/21 ~ Updated cooling and replaced now patched cooling bug with new electric radiator from modular engine update. Runs significantly cooler than previously tested.

Looks much better than mine, I recreated one of 4 surviving once that were sold to Iceland, they are still in use today but there use to be a few more, they are used to navigate through icebergs in rivers for tourists.
