Lake Improvements

Description
Allows improvements to lake tiles.

Changes
  • Lighthouses and harbors can be built in cities that are 1-2 tiles away from a lake.
  • Workers that enter a lake containing an unimproved resource become workboats.

Notes
  • Tested with Vanilla and G&K. Use at your own risk in BNW--possible crashes reported.
  • While standard Civ 5 maps don't place resource in lakes, it's still possible for modders to put resources into their maps' lakes.
  • Once a worker becomes a workboat, they can not change back, presently. If I can find a way to fix this, I will. But until then, be careful moving workers near lakes. Also note that this change doesn't affect workers embarking into oceans and seas.

Can't you change it so that an embarked worker only turns into a workboat if you upgrade him? Or is that impossible?

Do workers set to automated, automatically improve the lake and become a water improvement such as fishing boats permanently?

@inahut: yes, it can happen but it's pretty unlikely. for a worker to become a workboat, they have to enter a lake that has an unimproved resource that is in your territory. so worst case scenario, you're forced to improve the resource.

So, if I am not careful, if my worker is not careful near a lake, he can fall in, become a boat and never be able to come home to his city or family again?
