yup, it worked, I stuck the rotor with a small head outside of the large ship to mount the jump drive, thanks again.

DoctorJ, I have that problem too. We think it has to do with the small grid being a seperate grid from the large: Two ships as far as the game is concerned. The drive sees another ship in front and so refuses to try to jump "through" it. I think we got around this by jumping in a direction in which the large grid does not obstruct the line of sight of the drive. This means the drive must be exposed to space for the jump.

I have no idea why is that or how to fix it...

Any chance of making this work on a subgrid? I would like to use it on a large grid ship because of its size but it reports an obstacle is in the way when starting a jump. Thanks.

The jump drive block itself weights 2t

Mass of 2000kg, that's for the jump drive components or is it the ship mass falloff point of the drive?
