**WORKS BETTER WITH INFINITE ELECTRIC DUE TO BATTERY CAPACITY**



Description and History:
The D-class lifeboat is an inflatable boats serving in the UK's RNLI inshore lifeboat (ILB) fleet. This class of lifeboat is one of the smallest operated by the RNLI, and they are a common sight at lifeboat stations round the coast. The D-Class normally has a crew of three or four and is primarily used for surfer/swimmer incidents as well as assisting in cliff incidents where the casualty is near the water.

The RNLI Tooltrak is a compact rubber tracked crawler based tool carrier for use in marine environments for the launch and recovery of lifeboats and other craft. It is designed for operating on extremely soft ground conditions such as estuary mud or sand, or on shingle beaches. The machine is capable of wading to a depth of 0.65m and is able to withstand momentary swamping by wave action (0.65m) front the front or rear without the engine stalling or the windscreens being damaged.

Stormworks Lifeboat & Tractor:
There is a breaker on the boat and tractor which will turn on and off electric on either vehicle. The D-Class is controlled by two throttles on either side, one for throttle and other for steering. There are also controls at the front for radio and GPS along with equipment storage. Controls for the Tooltrak are either through the front dashboard or keypad 1-6 for various systems.

Much like the real boat, she is designed for inshore work and can't handle the biggest seas (anything about 50ish% on the slider).

Planned Work (no particular order):
- Try and improve range of both vehicles.
- Potential use small diesel engine in the Tooltrak (If feisable)
- Create Lifeboat station to house tractor and boat
