Description
The Austen TP-2 General Purpose Amphibious plane is a great addition to your search & rescue fleet!
It features a whole host of capabilities making it so much more than a mere patrol aircraft!
With a passenger bay and seating for 8 pax, you can evacuate more citizens with less flights! In addition, a fully outfitted medical bay is provided to treat 2 casualties! A decent sized cargo bay is outfitted with emergency equipment for any concievable situation as well.
But the best feature is saved until last! This aircraft has both an aerial refuelling and tanking system built in, allowing you to stay airbourne for as long as you can fly! Now no emergency is out of range for you!

Features:
- Aerial tanker and refuelling capabilities - Fuel can be transferred from refuelling tank to main tank!
- Rope and anchoring points to anchor to other vehicles
- Mag All anchor to anchor to land/other vehicles
- Pilot, co-pilot and flight engineer positions
- Access to roof when on water
- Modest sized cargo bay
- MCAS Auto-trim system to make landing easier

Stats:
- Top Speed - 170 Knots
- Fuel - Jet- 5921 Litres + 5377 Litres in Aerial Refuelling Tank
- Flight time/Distance (On main tank ONLY)- ~20 minutes, ~100km range (Calculated - figures will be doubled if fuel in aerial refuelling tank is transferred)
- Crew - 1x Pilot, 1x Co-pilot, 1x Flight Engineer
- Passengers - 8x Seated, 2x Medical bed.

Start-up Procedure:
- Activate circuit breaker (On left of cockpit)
- Engine 1&2 fuel flow ON
- Engine 1&2 starter ON
- Adjust prop pitch and throttle as appropriate

Taxiing Procedure:
- Wheel brakes OFF
- Adjust prop pitch and throttle as appropriate

User notes:
- The aircraft will be swamped when on water in anything above a gentle wind - be warned!
- The engines will stop if the jet intake is submerged - even if temporary!
- The aircraft has a tendancy to pitch up at lower speeds - this is negated by the MCAS system, but is hardly foolproof!
- Although the aircraft is mounted with 2 engines, to fly on 1 is not advised!

@Man Skinn, no altitude hold system. The engines get damaged if the intake gets below the waterline, but with a little care that should not happen on calmer seas.

And whenever I land in the water I have to repair the engines to take off again.

Is there an altitude hold system?

@silver fox thanks! Annoyingly that problem has been around since the beginning and i've been unable to find a counter for it - i think its a game glitch as opposed to being design related

So, I love this plane. It is my absolute favorite for water rescues and one of my favorite dual prop planes for maneuverability, speed and aesthetic. However, as of the last few patches while mid flight the port (sometimes the starboard one will soon follow) float will "break" and she tumbles from the sky as a great big sad tin can of death. Any chance others are experiencing this or perhaps the Austin Co will be looking into the issue? Thanks, again thought for an otherwise spectacular achievement!

Can you make a water bomber version of this? That would be so cool
