14 items
Description
This RoR pack is included in our Regiments of Renown Compilation.

This mod adds 12 loreful RoR units to the Vampire Counts roster:

--> Knockers (Zombies)
Undead revenants of deceased miners, often used by Necromancers to disrupt excavations and claim resources for themselves. (Recruitable from Tier 3 Iron, Marble, Diamond or Obsidian Mines)

--> Fire Skulls (Skeleton Spearmen)
Charred carcasses tirelessly march to war, burning with hatred that centuries could not extinguish.

--> Company of the Damned
An undead Kislevite company, they still fight by the day and night. (Recruitable from Kislev capital)

--> Helmut's Own (Grave Guard - Great Weapons)
Wearing the traditional von Carstein colours of red and black, this regiment bore cursed blades, which glowed a venomous shade beneath the gloom. (Recruitable from Castle Drakenhof and Vlad's special building)

--> Wights of the Temple of Skulls (Grave Guard)
The last remnants of the once great Lahmian Empire, these Wights were Queen Nitotris' most fierce warriors, both in life and death. (Recruitable from Lahmia and Golden Tower of Gods)

--> Doom Riders (Black Knights)
It is said that the Doom Riders were once a part of Nagash's army during his final cataclysmic battle with Sigmar; after the Great Necromancer's defeat, they rode into the shadows of the Drakwald Forest. (Recruitable from battle landmarks)

--> Drakenhof Templars
Once the elite guard of Vlad, the Templars continued to serve the later Counts after his demise at Altdorf. The ambitious vampire Anark von Carstein now rides at the fore of this battalion.

--> Knights of the Red Death
Led by Gorgivich Krakvald, these vampiric fiends were the butchers behind the Massacre of Modruin and the slaughter of the walled town of Ostwald.

--> Dhrox, the Krundenwald Fiend (Varghulf)
One of the most ancient Vampire Lords who succumbed to the hunger, Dhrox has been feeding on Sylvania's people for centuries.

--> Shadows of Chill (Cairn Wraiths)
Chosen by Luthor Harkon himself, these Wraiths strike terror in the hearts of Lizardmen and Lustrian colonists. (Available to both V.Counts and V.Coast, Recruitable from Tier 3 Ports)

--> The Half-Dead's Thugs
An unfortunate crew of Skaven pirates was swallowed by a Sea Leviathan; they were risen along with the beast's corpse by accident and forced to serve as Count Noctilus' hitmen in death. (Available to both V.Counts and V.Coast, Recruitable from Tier 2 Ports)

--> The Death's Heads (Halberdiers)
Grizzled veterans of the Vampire Wars, The Death's Heads hold the line with a terrifying grin painted on their faces. (Available to the Empire, Recruitable from Tier 3 Barracks; Ostermark gets earlier access to them)

NOTES

Fire Skulls, Drakenhof Templars, Knights of the Red Death and Dhrox will appear in the RoR recruitment pool progressively through the campaign as your generals gain levels. The rest of the units have special recruitment conditions as detailed above. Their stats are balanced for vanilla. Feel free to report any issues or provide suggestions/feedback.

Thanks! I'm a 90s kid, so yeah grew up with board games like HQ, then moved on to tabletop and pen&paper RPGs.

No worries, I figured as much. And yes, I was not trying to use the individual mods with the compilation. The good news is that all the individual mods seem to work fine together, so I will just use that. Thanks again, and happy gaming!

BTW, when grabbing all these I just noticed your various Hero Quest mods, and, as someone who grew up with the game, I am mightily amused!

Don't use the compilation together with the individual mods.

Regarding any conflict with other mods I can't help much, but I can assure you the individual packs should be 99.9% compatible with everything.

The compilation is not handled by me, so I can't be sure if it contains anything that could cause conflicts.

Ah, fair enough. I consider myself a pretty intelligent person, but for some reason I just cannot get my head around how mods for this game work!

I am already using expanded rosters for greenskins and dark elves as there are UCFA patches out for them. Hopefully the others will get added eventually. I just finished a Norsca campaign, and yeah, it felt lacking.

By the way, I tried the RoR Compilation mod and it is causing the game to CTD on startup (not by itself; must be a clash with another mod). I'm going to try the individual mods and see if I can pinpoint the problem a little more closely. I use over 100 mods though, so finding the exact one causing the crash probably isn't going to happen. :D

I believe that mod just adds new effects to existing buildings to increase unit caps that way, so my RoRs should not be affected in any way.

Enjoy and try my Expanded Roster series too if you like :)
