he's not cringing he's just sad that he couldn't find a way to get through to you. he's not even trying to kill you, he just wants to grab you and give you a hug.

when it says 'You died..." it's a metaphor for our inability to accept that it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes

and in re3, Nemesis is just trying to tell you how much of a star you are :steamthumbsup:
