Description
I've given the map another update! Thank you to steam user GreenGhost for providing helpful feedback on the map. :)

What's new in this update:

-Fixed a problem with Zeds not attacking the door to the school's front yard when it is welded
- Added more ammo pickups around the map
- I redid the splines for the Stand Your Ground Zone and they look a lot better now...but there was a *new* problem with them in which one line of the particles doesn't show up (I must have angered the dosh gods because this is now the third time I've had something go wrong with one of these). I decided to cover this by adding more barriers around the parking lot, and while I admit that is a lazy fix, I think this new barrier wall might be useful as a place to take cover behind.
- Adjusted the placement of a few meshes and added some new ones
- Added some more blocking volumes to help keep Zeds from getting stuck/confused
- Merged more meshes to further improve splatter maps

Thank you for your interest in my first map for Killing Floor 2! Continuing on the theme from my map for the first game, I have recreated a map from the game Zombie Estate 2, Zombie High School. The basic layout is the same but I added a lot more decorations and obstacles to make it more interesting.

Features:
- hallways, restrooms, a gym, art class, music class, science class and outdoor area.
- a stand your ground zone
- custom textures
- dead people!
-references to... other...things!

Known Issues:
- sometimes zeds get confused on pathing and take strangely long and indirect routes through the school to get to you. They shouldn't get stuck anywhere though.
- Smashed open walls have some flickering textures inside. I had trouble getting them to look right without overlapping some meshes.

@GreenGhost Thank you for being understanding. :) I got a chance to hunker down and work more on the map tonight. I redid the splines on the Stand Your Ground zone and had a little trouble again, but they look better than they did before so I'm glad for that. I also worked a while on getting more of the splatter maps fixed up.

Cool, thanks for the status update! Looking forward to being able to add this to my server's map list again!

Also thank you for being willing to revisit this map after so long, and I understand how it is with things taking time away from other things. I've actually been running into that issue a lot myself, lately.

@GreenGhost (Forgot to add, I haven't updated the map file here, I wanted to work on the Stand Your Ground issues first. I'll be sure to update this page when the new version is ready to launch, though!)

@GreenGhost Just wanted to give you an update, I've added a bunch more ammo drops and I believe I've managed to fix the Zed AI issue with that one door (Though I still need to do some playtesting to make sure). Sorry it's taking a while, I'm often quite busy with multiple hobbies/projects, my new job, and spending time with my family. My next goal is to look around online for good tutorials that will hopefully help me get the Stand Your Ground area looking right, and if that goes well, I may try to add more around the map as well. :)

It's great to hear that you are open to working on this map again. I played this map with a few people yesterday, and other than the things I listed, I couldn't find much else wrong with it other than what I mentioned.

One of the other players did comment on how there didn't seem to be many ammo spawns for how big this map is, and I have to agree: more ammo spawns would be nice. Not entirely sure how ammo spawning works in KF2. Is it a chance per spawn point or is it factored over the entire map, for example? If more spawn points means more ammo/weapons overall, I feel like that would be the best way to do it.

It's also worth noting that I don't usually give feedback on maps (especially balance-wise), but I feel like if the door thing were fixed, this map would be quite good (even with the SYG zone's drunk border).

@GreenGhost Thank you for letting me know. :) When I get a chance I will see if I can do anything about the doors.

As for the stand your ground zone, I tried fixing it many times, but I'm afraid to mess with it...I had a lot of trouble getting it to work at all. I even had my map stop working when I tried adding more than one to it. I do feel bad that it looks so messed up in-game, though, so maybe I should see if any new tutorials for making them have come out since I last worked on this map.

Zeds don't seem to be able to attack the doors that lead outside to the front when the doors are welded. Also, the Stand Your Ground border is visually twisted, with the border titled in various directions.

Just thought I should mention these things, in case you'd like to fix them.

@DocMcStuffin I've uploaded an updated version of the map, I hope the spawns and pathing will work better for you and your friends now. :)
