funnily enough, this looks a lot like an actual pub near where I used to live that was actually called the Forresters lol

Hi Leo, I'm pretty aware that my assets are basic and have issues with lighting etc ( tho surprisingly haven't had many negative comments at all). To be honest I had no ambitions to develop assets. But I also wanted a load of British-style businesses (there are surprisingly few of them in the workshop) in my city so I just made a basic Blender and GIMP template for knocking out these cheap easy models. Decided to share them rather than keep them to myself because maybe someone out there will use them ...

I doubt I will make them any more fancy than this, so people can make their own choice on whether they are happy to accept this style of building in their city. Rik's assets are far more pleasing on the eye, but I would never have had the patience to develop them. Personally quantity is more important than quality to me as I have more interest in indulging my own fantasies than making beautiful cityscapes, but everyone has a different reason for playing this game :)

ok so i will just say it now i am not trying to be rood i'm just trying to clarify something i like your ambitions to make all the different pubs in the uk but yes a lot of people have probably said your assets are bad and i don't think that they are bad but more of a concept

i think you have the potential to make assets like rick 4000 but if you don't know what to do i would use 3d geometry on the door, windows and roof i would also use detail like adding guttering and chimney pots the texture will be more high quality in it's resolution (1024x1024) and how well made it is and if you do this then they will look much better and people would want to use it

but i can understand that you may have limitations in the software that you use and for that i would advise using blender for the models and power point for the texture just make sure its not power point online

i hope i have helped you with making choices going forward and i hope to see some good looking pubs on the workshop
