CT Constant

Description
"CT Constant" Bunker Vessel and Tanker

Bunkering is the supplying of fuel for use by ships, and includes the shipboard logistics of loading fuel and distributing it among available bunker tanks.

The term originated in the days of steamships, when the fuel, coal, was stored in bunkers. Nowadays the term bunker is generally applied to the storage of petroleum products in tanks, and the practice and business of refueling ships. Bunkering operations are located at seaports, and they include the storage of "bunker" (ship) fuels and the provision of the fuel to vessels.

CT Constant is a large bunkering vessel, owned and operated by COLTEX, which can also double as a long range tanker for ferrying fluids between islands for resale or refueling operations. It is equipped with 3 large tanks for storing fluids, and an additional ship's fuel tank. The deck crane can be hooked up with two hoses, allowing for easier handling of hoses between ships engaged in refueling operations.

Each storage tank has it's own pump and valve system for egress or ingress of fluids. Hoses for refueling operations can be located on deck near the superstructure, in the on-deck storage shack.

Note: The Forecastle interiors are fairly empty for performance reasons, and for users to customize what those areas contain. At the Creative Dock, on my 5 year old PC, I run at about 30fps (physics) with the ship spawned. As soon as you pull away from the dock though, it shoots up to 60+.

Start-up Sequence
1) Enter the bridge
2) Activate Clutch
3) Throttle Up
3) Activate Fuel and Air Pumps
5) Turn Ignition

An additional Reverse and 2nd Gear are available. 2nd Gear is ideal for long travel, as it saves considerable fuel at the cost of speed.

Ended up having to put out half the ship in a major fire! Despite that the whole ship stayed afloat!

@Thick - You're 100% correct. I think something happened to my game on that session. I was using this Constant because it's the only one I have but it was on my end. Ship works great!
