"Old Sally" Tanker/Tender Ship

Description
It breaks my heart, but I and done with this game and I will no longer update nor upload my creations as many of them, even 1/1 scale replicas of real world vessels I've been currently working on seem to not work within this game and this greatly annoys me. As I find many creations do not work without using game bugs, exploits or file editing. I find this unfair and disingenuous to overall game play and sloppy game design. Don't get me wrong, I love the creativity this game has to offer, however due to balancing issues, bugs, and no real career mode I am protesting by no longer sharing to the Community. If you wish to fix some of my already uploaded creations for your own use go ahead, or if you wish to re-upload them fixed, I simply ask you state why I am done with Stormworks currently. I hope perhaps in the future this game may get the proper love it deserves and if it does I'll come back and fix these aswell as upload some of my unfinished works.

2022 2023 - Still a sloppy game.

Old Sally, Tanker/Tender Ship

"Old Sally" is an old Tanker/tender ship; loosely based on the T2-Tankers of WWII. She's intended for two main career uses, as a simple tanker to buy and sell fuels. Or as a tender ship to refuel and resupply any fleet ships on demand or left as a mobile gas station in remote locations.
She comes with a 200,000L Cargo hold for any fuel type that needs transporting. Two large cranes for ease of transfer along with 3 hose extenders located in the Aft storage to help with refuelling land based vehichles.

  • Price in non-creative, 316,000$
  • Cargo Tank, 200,000L
  • Personal Fuel, 62,500L
  • Large Aft storage to help resupply any first person equipment to your ships
  • Study compartmentalised hull creates a study and hard to sink vessel
  • semi-working anchors can help keep in in location
  • A Top speed of 16kts (full) and 14kts cruising.
  • Comes with two lift rafts, and 2 lifeboats
  • Impossible to overheat engines!
  • Old map chart with "You are here" updating red dot.

great for roleplay, tomfoollery or business ventures!

Ship Operations

- To Start it, crank throttle above 50%, turn on Engine Pumps, leave in neutral and press the starter (may need to press a couple times)

-Refuelling the ship itself; do not use the crane tenders, instead there is a hose connect on the base of the crane, this is intended for the personal fuel tanks

-UNLOADING AND LOADING FLUIDS; The pump breaker in the back end of the bridge next to the map screen must be flipped ON. Then you may flip the pump in/out flip switches to unload/load respectfully. Then swing out the Boom cranes and connect the hoses to the creation or dock.
***Cargo hold fluid spawner located near engines if you wish to change/empty on spawning the cargo hold (Default diesel)
The Cranes may stick! just gotta crank the throttle and pull hard on the ropes to free them (Weird clipping bug)

-Bow Ballast for empty travel to help balance some of the weight.

-Lifeboats; To launch the forward liferafts, simply disconnect and push and wait until the ship sinks enough. liferafts are full emergency, just to keep you out of the water until rescue. Lifeboats, disconnect the lower bow and stern ropes (these keep them from violently swinging in storms. Then lower the davits, YES it will snag slightly on the deck but will be find, keep lowering until they hit the water. Then disconnect the stern davit rope, then the bow davit rope. Lifeboats have limited range and time, and again are meant to keep you safe until rescue. HOWEVER these are base on OLD designs which like their real life counterparts were not that great and yes can flip.

-TO START THE FIRE. Shift up to gear 3, 100% throttle. Then turn the key located to the left to unlock button; Push button and wait ~1min.
***(Apearently does not work with Infinite Fuel on. I don't play with this setting ever so did not know, sorry for the confusion)

-SCUTTLING; Turn key on the left, go through the button sequence. Sinking isn't quick, it takes time Roughly ~10mins to notice it. (Quicker in stormy weather and with open lower deck doors) - This ship WAS Originally design NOT to sink easily, so this feature is slow, sorry. Want it to go super fast? open all the doors, you'll sink in seconds in rough weather.

-NOT HELD LIABLE FOR ANY MEGALODON DONE DAMAGE!

Patchnotes

-Fixed Aft Lighting (not wired)
-Rounded up Cargo tank, now 200,000L from 193,000
-Increased Fuel Tank, now 62,500 from 55,500
-Increased height by 2 blocks. (Sits better in the water now)
-Added more interior work
-Added Older Fluid Connectors to boom and base for Older Creations and Oil Rigs (Thanks to Der Eismann for the suggestion)

I've been trying to start her up for 5 minutes now and when I realized how to do it, she went off like a stallion. She flew into the air and then blasted forward. Just gotta kick the engines a few times.

@Oendor, that sounds like a bug for the SW Devs. They most likely screwed up more code.

The front life rafts flip over really easily.
