Description
Just like Stamina mode, except without the stamina!

All tilts and jab can be jump cancelled, lights (jabs, tilts and aerials) can be cancelled into strongs, and lights and strongs can be cancelled into specials.

The original Stamina Mode can be found here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1942969344&tscn=1601700302

Sorry for being unclear. This mod brings the unique cancelling system from the stamina (or HP) mode I made, but uses the base game's % and knockback system. It's sort of a middle ground between the normal game and the Stamina Mode mod. Hope that makes sense!

Sorry to ask but what does the description mean that this is Stamina mode without the stamina? I tried your stamina mode before this one and this version doesn't feel different as if I were playing the game normally when it comes to the hp.

Man I wish RadRobbie would respond, like I feel like the only reason he made that buddy was to plug the game he's working on.

like the fact you accepted my request proves that its more than just "Post stuff on workshop" Its also listening to the community and taking feedback. Thank you for responding and acknowledging something RadRobbie's failed to understand.

(Edit: look, I get that he's probably just busy all the time. It's just I have no knowledge of how to code and I don't want to take a "4-year major" in coding just to make a slight edit to the update.gml, but I have no one to turn to for these kinds of things, thats all.)

Sorry I left this for so long, I got into the habit of launching games without opening steam so I never say the notifications.

So as far as your request goes, I saw you're asking me because the original owner didn't respond to your modification requests, so without their permission I'm not going to modify their creation. Sorry about that.

Finally, the key feature that makes a good turbo mode imo is the fact that you can't cancel any move whenever. The sort of risk/reward of committing to a move is a part of rivals' core, so I won't be making that change.

Man, I wish you could cancel out of moves even when they don't hit anything with this.

(I'm talking about this buddy you made, I'm not talking about the request I made in previous posts, but I'm still curious about it, and how things are going with it.)

@Woa There Hay man, just wondering if you started working on my request.

Can you do these two things:

1. Go to https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2231606407 , and download the buddy.

2. Make changes to it to apply what I asked RadRobbie to do, and upload it, giving full credit to him (of course)

And if you're wondering what I mean in the second step here's what I asked Robbie:

"@ RadRobbie Ok update, the only thing I really want you to make, is an infinite version of this, that only applies to the player that has it equipped."

You know what, sure. I've got a huge holiday coming up soon, so I don't see why not. I can't promise I'll do it, but if you've got ideas shoot 'em my way and I'll have a look. I'd prefer it if they weren't super similar to already existing buddies, but I'll always hear 'em out.
JCGemX 5 Oct, 2020 @ 6:05pm
Are you open to taking requests when it comes to making buddies?
Woa  [author] 4 Oct, 2020 @ 10:35pm
@JCGemX I can't really do the whole cancelling taunts thing, as it does impact on characters with actual functioning taunts, so it's too big a tradeoff for such a small feature. As for cancelling moves mid-animation, well you already can to an extent. Unless you mean cancelling on whiff, in that case I think it just ruins the integrity of the gamemode unfortunately. While it is a sub-mode of sorts, I still want it to be played like Rivals and giving the ability to feint any moves doesn't really have a place in Rivals I feel. Sorry I won't make this for you, but you're free to make those modifications yourself!
