Argent Energy Betherian Stone Replacement 2.7.2

Description
How comes a super-advanced space-age civilisation that can travel across galaxies, build constructs that are several kilometers across, and rule over billions, still rely on burning some dirty old rocks for energy?

No, I have a much better alternative.

Argent. Pure, unlimited clean energy. By harnessing the arcane Argent Plasma leaking through to our realm from one beyond, we can generate energy in quantities previously unheard of.

What this mod does is essentially just cosmetic. Replaces the Betherian Stone Fields with Argent Fractures and the Betharian Power Plant with Argent Processors, both the names and the graphics. Inspired by Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal. If you don't know what Argent Energy is then play those games they are absolutely incredible.

This mod has full, inbuilt copatability with Additional Vanilla Buildings , and will replace the Betharian Mass Reactor building from that mod with an Argent Inductor to match the other Argent facilities. Make sure to put this mod below Additional Vanilla Buildings and any other mods that affects Betherian stone or buildings in the load order.

Thanks to Sam_ for the base for the graphics used for the Argent facilities. Make sure to check out his mod Additional Vanilla Buildings , which is highly recommended to be used with my Argent Energy mod.

FAQ:

"Something is wrong a lot?"
If something is wrong, please let me know what appears to be wrong. If it "just doesn't work", there isn't much I can do to fix that. This is likely a result of an incompatibility with another mod. Check if you have any other building mods enabled and make sure this mod is below them in the load order.

"Can you add <feature>?"
The answer is probably no. This is a fairly simple graphics mod. I don't have enough time on my hand to develop complex mods unless I want that kind of feature myself. Feel free to suggest something but don't be disappointed if I don't have time to add that.

"Standalone version?"
Maybe. The problem is that this would require a lot more coding. Adding standalone energy-producing buildings wouldn't be that hard, but adding custom deposits to the game would require coding game-start events that add these deposits to the planets, all with compatibility with other potential deposits added by other mods. This is a lot of work and at the moment you'll just have to chose between Betharian stones and Argent. If there is a lot of interest in something like this I might add it.

"Can you make this mod for me?"
No. I don't know why people ask this kind of stuff all the time. All these mods are free we don't just make them on demand. Pitch an idea if you really want something done, and if its a good one I might do something like that if I have lots of time. Do note that I am nowhere near as good at this as some people think.

The longer the Icon of Sin remains on Earth, the stronger it becomes.

@Fetfrumos96 I only play Stellaris on occasion and haven't played for several months. I will presumably update at some point but I am rather busy at the moment with actual work.

I don't know precisely what Paradox has done to break this, nor do I know in which way it's "not working". Is it not showing up? Are the names still working?

This mod is a bunch of texture replacements and a bunch of localisations. Localisations shouldn't be different unless Paradox changed the betherian plant and it's nomenclature a lot. If it's the textures that are messy that probably means they either changed the way the betherian building works or the way building textures are loaded.

Normally this does NOT happen very often, so it may very well just be some compatability issue. Try moving it to the end of the load order or earlier in the load order. If it still does not work then I guess it's something new has changed. I'll fix it whenever I decide to play Stellaris again.

@resident-tt Great, I have added into the description.

@Orc Merchant
I have imagined this too. It would be a very cool feature but unfortunately this is beyond my current level of expertise with Stellaris. In the future once I actually know enough and have the time I might try something like this.

Excuse me but I do not actually speak Russian, this answer was made using Google Translate.
[Сделано с помощью Google Translate] Спасибо, что оценили это! Действительно, это было бы очень круто. Однако я не специалист по моддингу Stellaris, хотя теоретически я мог бы сделать генераторы отдельной системой. Все лучшее для вас!

a demon invasion event should have a chance to spawn, with other artifacts from the other realm such as the coffin of the Doomslayer
