Description

This is a mod for various strategy games, that makes province names change their name dynamically, to one that fits the culture of the faction that controls them.

In the common database (for all the supported games), there are currently over 180.000 names for various languages, themes and time periods.

The names are meant to provide an immersive and authentic experience for the game's setting and time period.
However, if there are no names for a specific language for this context, names from other time periods, or even from very closely related languages, will be used instead, as long as they make sense and are a good fit.

Absolutely love this mod, really brings flavour to the world perfect for my vanilla plus games. I would also love to see a version of this for When the World Stopped Making Sense, there is a fair bit of cultural naming already there but there a definitely a few large gaps that could do with filling in.

Worked like a charm, thanks for the quick fix!

Fixed in the latest version!
It was an extra pair of quotation marks that broke part of the landed_titles file. Oops, sorry about that!

I will investigate and hopefully fix it for the next release. I'm thinking there might be some typo / syntax error in the file.

I'm also having my Indian subcontinent turning into no character zones with this mod enabled.

Having the same problem, I downloaded it outside of steam and also tried a few releases back but the bug kept happening.

Yes, I disabled all the other mods I had installed and tested this one alone. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled MCN and got the same result.

@RazgrizInvicta does it happen with only this mod enabled?

Hey, love the mod. But for some reason enabling it makes large sections of Asia unplayable. Most Indian and Tibetan and Northwestern Chinese provinces still exist on the map, but they're transparent and they have no characters to them. I have all the DLC and I've isolated this mod as the cause. Don't really know what to do.

There's now a dedicated version for A.D. 633: Rise of Islam, available here: https://steamproxy.net/workshop/filedetails/?id=1366353511
