This addon is out of date :(

This addon will replace most of the combat music with scores from the orchestral soundtrack of the Evangelion anime series.

If you are a fan of powerful, sweeping orchestras and intense choir, I guarantee you will enjoy this music, even if you aren't a fan of anime. This sound addon captures the urgent, eerie and intense feeling that the Evangelion soundtrack conveys, fitting surprisingly well with the Left 4 Dead atmosphere. I don't think there's even a word of Japanese uttered in this, unless you listen to the credits song in its entirety.

Infected Tracks:
Tank - "The Beast"
Witch - "Quelconque 56 avec A4" or "Huan to no Mitsugetsu"
Hunter - "The Wrath of God in All its Fury"
Boomer - "Showdown"
Smoker - "Keep Your Head Above the Mayhem"

If you enjoyed this addon whatsoever, I suggest you go and check out the Rebuild of Evangelion soundtrack. It's really great!

I plan to add more Eva music in the future, possibly as a separate addon. I'd like to edit the jukebox music and the calmer bits, like the track that plays at the beginning of the round. Unfortunately, the music that plays during a zombie horde attack cannot be as efficiently edited, as the song that plays is randomly generated by small audio clips. I may experiment with this later, but for now it has to stay the same.

For some reason, it does not replace certain Left 4 Dead 1 tracks. I'll look into this in the future.

Most of the scores were edited so that they could fit within the given time the tracks allow. I do not claim ownership of any of this music. The Evangelion soundtrack was composed by Shiro Sagisu, and Sakura Nagashi was written and performed by Utada Hikaru. Artwork used in workshop image is by: http://epsthian-artist.deviantart.com/

so i finish a campaign and i'm the only one who survived and my whole team died during the credits "Sakura Nagashi" played and i felt really bad that i couldn't do anything to save my teammates anyways great mod!

The only song that should be "too quiet" is the death music, which was purposeful.

Will this issue also crop up if none of the custom music tracks I am using conflict with the musics listed here? (I.E. I wanted to preserve my custom concert music, and this mod does not have any music that replaces the concert tracks, will the issue still crop up?)

This mod replaces A LOT of L4D2 music. If you're using any other mod that replaces a L4D2 track, I'm pretty sure it'll conflict with this one and break it. This has been a pretty common complaint.

I'm not sure if this mod works. The comments say that it seems to be functioning for them, but I try and use this mod and the musics aren't playing. I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to no effect. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the mod, or the fact that I'm using custom music for my game.
